My fellow Realtors

Are you looking for some free traffic as well as a free site where you can add a profile and put your listing for FREE.   I found this site during one of my many late night escapade on the internet, Im not sure what it can do as for as bringing us prospects but its free so I believe its worth a try.

Looking At Buying Or Selling A House, Land, Condo, Apartment?

FastRealEstate.net is a FREE real estate classifieds site for Real Estate Agents & Private FSBO (for sale by owner) Sellers to put their properties on sale. Potential buyers are free to browse and make contact directly with real estate agents & FSBO sellers. Realtors can build a "custom profile" & manage a portfolio of properties on our website giving them the direct benefit of greater online exposure for them and their clients

Here's my profile.   http://www.fastrealestate.net/Andrew-Dove-seller399.html  take a look and if you are interested send me an email at andrew@tecrahomes.com and I will send you an email with the sign up details.

I hope this can be of some use to someone.

Thanks Andrew, I also use zillow.com. It is also free and you can put as many listings up and use a large number of photos for each listing. It may be unlimited photos, I can't remember. You just have to update the listing once a week, they send you an email reminder. (Like P2 could do???).

Doesn't Zillow want to eliminate the role of the Realtor altogether in determing house values?

Isn't Zillow founded by the same guy who put travel agents out of business?

Do you know the story and business model behind Zillow ?

Should we as Realtors be sharing our content with them?

If content is king, and we give them our content, then aren't we handing them the bat that they will later use to beat us into a pulp?

Think lead generation, think about it.  They will be using our listings to generate leads that they will then sell to OTHER AGENTS or to us.

You want to pay zillow for a lead that came from one of your own listings?

Maybe I am all wet.  Maybe I am wrong.  But I don't trust them.

You?

I appreciate the comments about fastrealestate.net.  I dismissed them when they annoyed me by going into the website and posing as a customer.  Maybe I'll revisit them for the g-rankings.

Lonn, thanks for the eye opener, I will have no more listings on Zillow. I read the other post you wrote reminding all of us who they are.

I guess at the time, I was looking for some "free" exposure for my listings and never looked past the end of my nose. Thanks for putting me on the straight and narrow.

My take is much like Lonn's - if you've every had to deal with a client when they've got a Zillow Zestimate that was so ridiculously out of the ball park...you'll think twice about the "service" they provide.

I don't trust their business model, their data, or their ethics.
