Yeah?  I could get you lots of top 10 placements on google, yahoo and MSN.  

The key isn't that they get you 10 top ten placements, but rather, WHAT 10 top ten placements they get you.  It's very unlikely that they can get you Myrtle Beach Real Estate which returns over a million and a half results on Google...

Buyer BEWARE!  NOt all SEO companies are bad, but there are  A LOT more bad ones than good ones and the good ones ain't cheap!

Sounds to good to believe?  What's organic (obscure search)?

I have had good results blogging in my community.  If you have the time I would try it and look for your results, I'm #2 on google in different searches

Listen to Ron - You can get better results for free with just a little work and time.

I would suggest that instead of investing your money in that company, rather invest that money in your own education and learn how to work the SEO.

What happens once you reach the top 10?  Do you have to stop paying?  If you stop paying, will your site still remain in the top 10?  What keywords?

Something to think about.

Mary Ann - "Organic" results mean "natural" search results -- in other words, placement in the search engines that are not "sponsored" links / Pay Per Click links.

My Company remitted $7K to this SEO Company 4 years ago and got absolutely NO RESULTS and when I requested a refund of sorts, they advised me to read the small print of the contract.

They are a bunch of fundamental, perceptual handicapped criminals.

I will do my best not to sound too defensive but I do have a question for you...Did you do your research to make sure we can't get Mr. Gainey a top 10 organic ranking in Google for his primary keyword phrase? Maybe you will want to contact one of our clients that has a similar competitive keyword like: vacation rentals by owner, which also has over 1 Million competing keyword phrases.

Our client is www.vlbo.com and the clients name is Rich Howard. Go to his web site, get his number and give him a call. This client was not in the first ten pages, let alone top 10 organic placements. You can also check out his rankings for: vacation rentals. He is on the second page and moving up (again wasn't in the first 100 results let alone in the top 20). And here is the beauty...he doesn't have to pay for the top 20...only the top 10. Suffice it to say, if Mr. Gainey decided to give us a try, and listened to what we said, I am very confident we can help him get more targeted traffic to his site that would help him increase his business. But don't take my word for it...Ask our clients such as duPont REGISTRY, VLBO.COM, furnitureesuperstore.com, federalfundingsources.com...the list goes on.

Elegant Properties Realty....Wow, it amazes me how you truly feel the way you do. Things would have worked out much better for your site if you would have allowed us access to your site and allowed us to implement the changes that needed to be done. Here's a warning for anyone wanting to hire an SEO company...if you are not going to take the advice and allow the SEO company to do their job, do not hire them. It's frustrating and wastes money for both parties.

Ok I know this is a long post but allow me two more things...

To the realtors above who advised Mr. Gainey to learn it himself, well, wouldn't the same advice go for someone who wanted to sell their house? Can't they do it themselves? Why do they need an agent if they can do it themselves or learn from a free "book"? Same rules apply. Besides...if you have time to work on promoting your site, your not doing a very good job. If your site was promoted correctly, you would be too busy to mess with your site.

Mr. Gainey, I applaud you for reaching out to find out if our services are worth it. But if you are going to do that, you have to consider the source and look at both sides and then make your own decision. Can we satisfy 100% of our clients? I wish we could. Well, well, well...

Where do we start? First, about two months ago, I crushed my own SEO placement because I took my primary domain and changed it.  However, it was a decision I had to make based on my marketing that I am currently pursuing.  I went from my name, to www.katyagent.com and I have been steadily climbing back up.  I'm not doing too much to the site right now because I need to see how the domain change eventually shakes out.  Katy Texas Real Estate  is one keyword, however, it's not the primary that I get search results for, nor did I intend it to be.

HOw about that furniture store...looking at their website, I would guess one of their top terms would be Discount Furniture, right?

Certainly not top 10.  MSN is top 10, but one of the easiest search engines to get placement on.

I do think it's funny that I made one comment, which was not set in stone but it was "very unlikely" that they can deliver and then you come on here and attack me and my site when just below that you have an obviously unsatisfied ex-client you could have just as easily rebutted but didn't.

My opinion is just that...my opinion.  No, I don't believe that you have shown me ANY real estate clients that you have done successful SEO modifications for.  You've shown me a client for furniture that for the most compettitive term returns about 8 million results.  For my SMALL LITTLE TOWN, it returns about 2 million results and for my metro area, Houston, it returns over 8 million.  So I think we're comparing apples to couches.  

Bob, Mr. Pedone has had a few days to respond and has not done so.  I would recommend removing his comments as all they are doing in current form is providing a link back to his website.  Just My opinion though...
