Thinking about thinking...

Do you carry a lucky charm?

By: John Bourassa

Before I started in real estate, I was a salaried professional complacent in my routinely unchallenged life.  I took an early retirement to pursue a second career as a Realtor®.  I was forewarned by my friends and family that I will be starving during my first year and all that negative stuff.  With blind determination, I vowed to myself that I wasn’t going to fail…

My fellow workers gave me a retirement party and they all chipped-in to buy me a gift, symbolically practical to my new career, a Mont Blanc Pen to bring me much success writing contracts.

Since that day, I keep that pen on me alongside with a regular throw away pen but I use the MB only to write listing or purchase contracts.  When I am in front of my customers, it’s like pulling the Excalibur Sword off the stone. Then I am invincible!

What is your superstitious amulet?

John

I used to when I was in college. But, since then I have not. Don't know why? Just one of those things that I stopped doing for no reason. In college it was something that was given to me by my little brother. (From the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Program)

I have got my lucky underwear. I haven’t changed it since….. Well, if Gary and Mike think my politics stinks, they ought to take a whiff of these.

Let us all pray that Greg does not pull the Excalibur Sword out the stone! It would be the next story on 60 minutes.

you guys are all crazy, I love it. I am glad I don't have to depend on a lucky pen, it would have been lost years ago. I depend on skill and the kindness of others lol.

Actually, I carry an antique marble with me.  I collect marbles, and this one is my first find when I began collecting.  It's beat up, roughed up, and not really collectible anymore, but it's in my pocket every time I do showings, listing presentation or a closing.
