Using one of our beloved and MVP contributors' photo (it's not as though we haven't all seen this pic before), I jigged some VERY QUICK editions with the results below (left=original, right=edited). The picture was very good to begin with so I only applied a few options which were exaggerated to show the various possibilities such as noise reduction (i.e. pixel softening) and borders. There are many other fun options.
