Pay Per Click VS. Search Engine Optimization

By: Carmen and Jeff Bills

Hi all, I first want to say that this form is a great place to learn and perfect our trade. I am pretty new to the whole blog thing, but in the last month or so have learned so much from my fellow agents out there. Right now I am a pay per click guy who is listed on yahoo, google and MSN and have had great success. I have been looking into SEO and want to know if anyone out there has a good company they use or any sucess stories that you would share.

When you say great success are these deals you have gotton from customers who clicked or just a lot of people coming to your site?

Carmen/Jeff,

acheiving great success in SEO is not rocket science,  but you need to be carefull.  One wrong move and you're out of SERPs.  My advice, read about, be careful, be patient and try to learn how search engines work.  If you can understand how their algorithm works, you can tweak your site to your own benefit.  Keywords, links, title tag, H1 tags, unique content and patience is all you need to know.

Easy enough, huh?

It's not easy, but doable.  I've registered my domain name 6 months ago and now I'm on first or second page for all of my major keywords.  Also, don't be affraid to spend some money on PPC.  It's a great way to drive traffic to your site and once you rank well for your organic searches, you can turn off your PPC campaign at any time.

It's not easy though, but it's definately fun watching your site moving up in ranks in Google.

Good luck.

Well, Lonn left and no one could help anyone better than you Jay.

As to seo, I've done it by myself and by integrating my blog into my website, google has been very good to me.

Doesn't everyone love that term "shameless"?

I am not a very techi person but reading online on SEO I have worked my website. I have used the tools that webmaster recommends to refine your website. I also use paid adword (google) it has give me great amount of traffic. I don't have know if I can distinguish where my traffic is more coming from google search or paid adword. Over all I am happy with the business I have generated from online presence.

Good Luck
