Log out and see if you can still read...if you can, it's open to the public.

It is available to anyone to see but you need an account to post comments.  In my opinion, it should only be available to industry professionals who are part of the Point2 network.

I have already seen that this blog gets high rankings from Google, so yeah, the public is going to see it.

However, that is the beauty about blogs...they are designed to see how people really are in their own environments and to stimulate TWO WAY conversations with visitors!

Please do not start posting blogs here focusing on our clients. I recently discovered  just what a blog is  and what a great environment we have here. While you should keep in mind that non agents will read these, keep posting questions and information that will provide our industry the tools needed to be better as a whole.

I believe Point2 created this blog with the RE agent in mind.  So we can have a place to exchange ideas about our industry.  Nothing is for free though.  By creating this blog, RE agents will eventually find it in search engines and see that it is part of Point2, hopefully eventually signing up for a Point2 account.  If your goal is to have a blog to provide information to the public and hopefully get new leads, I suggest you create your own.  I have my own here: www.orlandoweblog.com , this is my main blog.  I use it for several reasons.  First of all is to provide a value service to my visitors and hopefully converting them to a customer who eventually will buy or sell with me.  The rest are secondary reasons, such as search engine placement that eventually will drive more traffic to my main site.  I still believe that this blog should only be accessible to us.  But that will defeat the reason why Point2 created it in the first place.  So, I do not foresee that happening.

I accessed this through a google search.  In order to post, I had to sign in through Point2 or sign up for a Point2 ID or post as a guest.

As appears to be the consensus, this site is intended for shop-talk among real estate professionals.  The posts are readable by the public; if you have a product support or other members-only issue consider using the Point2 Message Board.

As Carlos mentioned, it's a good idea to have a customer-focused blog separate from an industry-focused one.  For this reason, Point2 offers a great blogging platform as part of your Professional website.

If you are not logged in to your web site and visit this blog you will notice this at the Add a comment section at the end of the post

So it seems that this Blog is open to everybody.

So, we should be careful of what we say. Could be providing helpful hints to the public as to how to handle an agent and get the most to their benefit - not ours!!!!

You are a complete DOPE!  Yes, all the content is public, including your dumb coment.  No wonder the public, your potenial customers, distrust real estate agents.  Ever heard of fiduciary responsibility where you look out for your client's best interest, not YOURS!
