Fax to email

Any of you use this feature?  We have been using it for about a year or more and find it invaluable.  If someone doesn't have a fax machine, you can fax the document to yourself and then forward the email to them.  (If they need to sign something and fax back, it's not so great).  You can receive faxes at any time and don't have to be at the office.  It's fabulous and well worth the minimal amount it costs.

It is a great feature. Also, if you use Zipforms, Docusign Express is available for electronic signatures. I've found I can get 95% of all signatures without ever using a fax machine. This is invaluable with out-of-state or even out-of-country clients.

I've been using a fax to email service for a few years now and it remains one of my favorite tools.  It's not only great for sending and receiving faxes but it's a snap to convert an entire file to a digital format.  I think I'm paying about $14.00 a month which is about a third of the cost of a business fax line in Saskatchewan.  No fax machine, no ink or toner, no worrying about the machine running low on paper.  Very good value.

I work in two states, and don't need to chase faxes around...

I have my own eFax, for about $12.95 a month.

All faxes for two states, in one place. GottaLuvThat!

I've been using efax for quite a few years now. Wouldn't change it for anything else! Plus attorneys love it too when I have a clean, easy to read contract for them that hasn't been faxed 4 times. Not to mention, anytime I need some old information from my listings or contracts, I don't have to dig through piles of papers and files but simply bring up the old fax ... I keep them in my e-mail plus I have 2 years of online fax storage as part of my eFax plan.

I use innoport.com and love it.  I find it slightly cheaper than efax for me.

If you are interested please let me know and I will send you a referral link and I think we both get some free credits.

I believe the cost is $8 per month for a toll free number.  This includes 100 pages of fax and after that it is 8 cents a page.

I find it much cheaper and better than a seperate line.

Living and working in Mexico but having my clients in the US, I would be lost without eFax.  It sure beats the long distance costs here and saves my clients the myriad of numbers needed to call or fax back into Mexico.  Plus, where ever I am, I have a fax machine!  Fast, easy and cheap... best things for a Realtor.

e-fax is great I use it all the time. Keep in mind most people have scanners if they do not have a fax and can scan to pdf and e-mail back to you.

I have not tried this feature yet, biggest reason is the quailty.  I have received emails and when going between this type and to regular faxing the doc's seem to lose print quailty easier. Has any one else had this problem?

I used efax for about a year and then I found a phone service call My Only One...were you only have one number to use for you business card and all other media...they were bought out last summer by i-telconnect. You get one number for phone/fax to keep everything simple plus you get an auto attended that make you look and sound like a pro. You get emails with your faxes and voicemails so you can have an electronic file on all of your transactions. I have used it for over 3 years now and would highly recommend them to anyone. Cost is $24.95 month and you can receive unlimited fax's and you get 100 pages free out....then there is a very small fee. If you make out of area calls there is a toll charge but not much.....this system is just the best!!! I use my scanner to make pdf files and then send the thur this service....top quality.

I've never used their service, but I heard some good things about them.

If any of you are interested, the company is called Metro Hi-Speed and their URL is http://www.metrohispeed.com/services-emailfax-optiona.shtml.

With 1000 inbound/outbound pages, sounds like a good deal.

Hi all,

Be sure to check out ufax at ufax.com the quality is as good as (and sometimes better than) the old clackity clack fax machine.  I've been using them for 2 years, just $9.99 a month - if you have any problems their customer service is unexpectedly great and timely. I wouldn't trade them for a wall of fax machines!!  Every agent should have this service as mobile as we are - I can get them anywhere I get my email.

Ask agents to call you when they send the fax though so you know they are coming.  It amazes me that agents won't bother to make a call and let you know an offer is on it's way.  Like it goes to "magic offer land" :)

It can be a pain for your clients to get signed pages back to you unless they are tech savvy and can scan to a PDF file (scan quality always seems to be awful in most cases). But many times they have a fax at home or can go to the library, copy shop or work and send docs back.

I have a fax machine still for outgoing faxes, and can send them to my ufax and make a nice library of .pdf files so that I have all of my historic docs at my fingertips (without the expense of buying the full blown adobe software).  It truly is a tool I never want to be without.  I am sure there are some of these companies that have perfected the outgoing faxes as well - but with everything else going on honestly I've not got time to research and learn it for now - and it works great for me.

Happy faxing!

Vicki

This is a great feature - if you contact many multifunctional photocopiers now have it available.  Konica Minolta (www.konicaminolta.ca - they have branch locations in Toronto (Bay/Wellington), Markham and Mississauga) - other copier companies have similar solutions (ie Xerox and Canon), but Konica Minolta is generally the most economical have a variety of machines that can be networked to print, scan-to-email and fax.  You can have incoming faxes routed directly to an email address for electronic filing (this also helps you eliminate junk faxes - that we get so much of on a day to day) and you can also set up PC faxing where you fax from your computer.  You can also get software to archive your deals on your computer for easy retrieval / forwarding of paperwork.

I have been using Call Wave for almost 3 years after spending a few years with e-fax back when you had to send a special viewer.  My clients did not like having to install a viewer and I went over my free number of pages, so I was required to pay.  Call Wave not only has unlimited, (I believe), faxes received, you also have a program on your desktop that rings like a phone call, if desired, when a fax comes in and you can have it immediately display on your computer with Adobe reader.  A copy also arrives in your e-mail, however, you don't have to wait to check your messages to see that you have a fax.  There is a list of all the faxes you have received. This level of service is for $7.99/month.

They just added a service where you can make phone calls from your computer!  Just enter the contact in their address book and click Talk.  We had a power outage and our phones were down, however, our internet was still up, so I could use this service to make calls.

If you would like a message sent for their services, send me a message as I get credit for referrals.

Thanks.

CallWave here also.  Less than 8 dollars a month.

Tip:  The first thing I do with a fully signed contract is fax it to myself.  Then it's just a click after that.

Paralegals will love you for it!

I use K7.net - you can use it for both faxes and voicemail.  I use it only for the faxes, as I already have a separate voicemail account.  However, I find it very invaluable.

I always have offers faxed to both my office and to my eFax. That way I can check it my email without going back to the office. I can also maintain a copy of the faxes on my computer disk.

Also, I can always forward the faxes by email to those who do not have access to a fax machine.

Pro: It's free.

Con: Non-local number.

A few people I know use K7.net

It's free, and works.

I'll pay $10 a month for a toll free number though.

Those of you still using efax (or other) try:

http://www.myfax.com

I researched it and they seem to be the best for the money.

I use Callwave also and LOVE IT! $7.95 a month (UNLIMITED) Then if you want to fax someone something you can use microsoft fax. It comes with every microsoft computer. All you have to do is plug in a phone line in to your computer for 25 seconds. The quality is amazing!

I use a scanner to scan all copies of documents and e-mail them to agents also. Then you also have a receipt when they open the e-mail. If you have a brother fax machine. It can actually fax in COLOR.

We also use Call Wave. What we liked about most is they also have a program where you can get other numbers (2) for $8.00 a month and this way it eliminates me giving out our cell # to everyone. We do love the email fax as well and we also scan it in and forward it to agents, attorneys, lenders etc.but most of all is we use our Treo 650 on it as well. This way we are never out of touch not matter where we are. Mobile is the way for real estate.
