I took the e-Pro course. It was helpful, but I was already familiar with a lot of it. It reinforced my online efforts and gave me some good links and ideas.

As one of the 3 Certified ePRO Trainers in the state of AZ, USA and an ePRO since 2002, I have more than an opinion.  :)

Here's some value for you, Carol -- I now know who to send my PEI referrals to!

My office employs only ePRO Certified agents who are instructed to begin their search for a referral agent at the ePRO Roster. So make sure you have all your info in there because there are others like us.

I'm an e-PRO. Like Mike, I was already familiar with a lot of the concepts in the course, but it did help me beef up my/our online presence. Nice little designation to have, especially when dealing with internet savvy sellers. There are quite a few old-timers around here who don't do much in the way of internet promotion. And Candice, if you're ever in need of someone in Nashville to pass a referral to, here I am! An e-PRO AND a P2Agent; what could be better than that? ;-)

Those of you who have the designation, do you believe it makes a difference to your clients.  Really want to know, not being skeptical.

Congratulations Carol,  I've been an e-PRO since 2005. Loved the on-line course.  I definitely took my time in completing it and feel I learned so much by  investing that time.    I recommend it to all who are striving to stay ahead or at least current with our ever changing technology,  and solidifying their internet presence.  It's always an on going daily challenge to stay current with our changing industry,  there is so much to learn, and the e-PRO course can help meet that challenge.

Bee, that is a wonderful question. IMO, if my clients didn't know the difference before, they do after we do a transaction together. Everything from website to manner of communication to marketing to transacting business was enhanced because of that one little 300 dollar course (still not much more now)

Even BECK did a song about ePRO . . . doesn't have much to do with the ePRO Cert, but who knows what lurks in the mind of Beck anyway? LOL

I knew a great deal of the information in the course but there was a lot that I learned as well.  I think it goes a long way when you meet prospects through the internet because it is impressive if presented the right way.  

I need to clarify something. When I talked about the 'old-timers around here', I wasn't talking about the people on this site. I was talking about the other agents in my neighborhood, some of whom have been around for 20-30 years, very successfully, but who aren't riding the tech-wave at all. It works for them, don't get me wrong - they do a heck of a lot more business than I do! - but I didn't want anyone here to get the idea that I was talking about them. Everyone here, obviously, are very tech-savvy, or they wouldn't be here. :-)

To answer Bee's question, I think it makes a difference, especially to the younger, more technologically knowledgeable buyers and sellers, who use the internet to do a lot of their research. They expect their agent to speak the same language they do, and communicate with them in the same way that they communicate. And it's not the designation that makes the difference, of course, but the manner of doing business. See Candice's remark, above.

I took the e-PRO course earlier this year. I really enjoyed it and even though I knew many of the things taught there it really clarified some issues I was not that informed about. It helped me connect the dots ;)

Do my clients care what courses I take? No, not unless I use what I learn to better serve them. They have their own "P2 Performance Index" so to speak. If all those courses result in better "performance" then they care about that. It is the end result that matters not the designations or cetrifications.

Having said all that, I am glad I took the e-PRO course and recommend it to others.

I have had the e-pro course scheduled on my "to do list" for way too long! This thread has inspired me to jump in and get it accomplished.

Carol I signed up for it and started but haven't got back to it yet. I keep getting email Modules, I need to go back and see what that is about, some I can't even read they are so light. Did I miss something?

Carol, you can go to epronar.com, log in at left and download your cert now I believe. Used to have to wait 30 days, but one of my agents just got hers too and she downloaded her cert the same day.

There IS one on the roster in PEI, certified since Feb this year so you're not the only one but you can sure market yourself as one of the first!

Carol, what are we suppose to do with those modules? I have saved them but good grief, not sure what to do with them. I need to go back. I need a designation of some sort. Maybe someone here will give me a freebie.
