We are heading there in January.  We have rented a log cabin in the Smokey Mountains and are looking forward to some R&R.  And tons of romance of course as this is our honeymoon.

Anyone from this neck of the woods?  We would love to have lunch with some realtors and exchange thoughts and ideas (after we finish our romancing of course)

Any takers?

Well Congrats on the honeymoon..... and of course the romancing. I am not from that area but have been there and it is extremely beautiful. I just saw your post and wanted to say happy honeymoon... and romancing of course to you both.

Congrats! I'm far far away but sure wouldn't mind taking a vacation over there. One of the plans for the future.

We actually planned our vacation around a log cabin...we knew that's what we wanted so we looked online at several and found one we really liked..and it was in Tennessee!  So, off we go!  Steve and I both look forward to some quiet and relaxing days.  Definitely looking forward to it!

Congratulations! We spent last weekend - Thanksgiving - in a cabin in Pigeon Forge, and it's a beautiful place. I'm sure you'll love it. Nashville is 3-4 hours away, though, so I can't stop by for lunch, unfortunately. :-)

Bente, how's it going on your book? You should be in final edits by now! :)

Now see, Carol and Steve, I'd think where you are would be pretty romantic! I'd like to take a romantic trip up to Canada! Wonder if my husband would let me go without him, LOLOL !  (you'll make jokes like this too after 16 years, LOL)

Enjoy your time in Pigeon Forge--I recommend that you visit nearby Cades Cove.

I live just about 3  hours away- on the other side of the Smokey Mtns.

Have fun!

We love to vacation there! It is just beautiful.  We stayed at the "Moonshine Cabin" up on top of a big hill with stunning views.  Hope to go back someday.  Have a great time!  Consider yourself envied!  A break would be incredible!

Thanks for asking, Candice. The book has been declared ready to go by my agent, and is going to the editor on Monday. I'm sure there'll be some more edits from the publishing company after that. It won't be published for a whole year, so there's plenty of time. Meanwhile, I'll get busy writing book #2, which is going to be about renovating a supposedly haunted split-level. I'm having fun!
