How Do You Keep UP?

Since becoming a P2 member and focusing on my website and trying to customize content, I'm feeling rather overwhelmed with information!  Honestly, I know haven't even begun to tap the wealth of information out there.  NAR, MAR, print media, online, etc.  I find I have so much information I'm in a quandry about what to use as my primary resources.  As has been said in other posts, Real Estate is Local, so I've begun focusing more on local information.  I'm ashamed to say that to get on my state Realtor website I actually had to email them for my user ID and password!  That's how long its been.

My home office looks like an explosion at a paper mill. I'm drowning in trade magazines, printed on-line articles, local statistics, etc., which I just can't seem to get through.  I realize now that I missed an episode of Dancing With the Stars two weeks ago even though I was supposedly "watching" it!   All the while getting listings and working prospects.  I took some time this morning to think about where I'm spinning my wheels.  I've come to the tentative conclusion that I'm on information overload.  So, to the real point of this post......

What does the collective P2 braintrust use as its primary sources of information to increase your knowledge and customize your content so it doesn't read like everyone else's website?  And, where do you find the time?

Thanks for any wisdom!

Cathy, Our home offices must have meet each other because mine looks the same way. I think I've lost my cat in my recycle box. I use this blog and Active Rain to get ideas mainly. I've started writing them down but I've lost the list in my office, so I'm searching for it now. AR is full of ideas. I've seen alot of Point2er's on there also. If you find articles that are helpful tear them out and organize them in a 3 ring binder. That way you might know where they are at.. LOL

Tis the season.  We don't keep up.

We list the best sellers, chase the most promising buyers, fight the biggest fires, send in the FHA paperwork again and again, talk to the loss mitigation department at several banks, AND work on our web sites in our spare time....

Filing?  IF it's not related to a pending or closing deal, Filing gets done in November....   ;)

I do take a day out of week where I don't work after 6 PM and try to organize my office and desktop.
