Predators Target Bloggers with Threats & Intimidation

Just in case anyone missed it, there was an article in the Washington Post, regarding the dangers of blogging. Given some previous posts regarding pictures, spam, etc. I thought I'd pass it along. Women seem to be more susceptible but men can be victims, too. Scary stuff.

They were a bunch of Realtor-hating people who had nothing but nasty things to say to me. They took it as far as to say that women Realtors are Realtwhors. (Don't know if I will get in trouble for that...add an "e" where the is at.) They told me that they were sure my name and number was plastered all over every men's bathroom because that's how women Realtors are! They blabbered on about how we rip people off and we are only good for one thing! To not feed into the idiots, I just deleted their comments with no response to them! They went away a day later and haven't heard anything since! Glad the morons thought they knew anything about me to say such nasty things like that. And of course they were all "Anon" people that didn't have the guts to say those things to me under their real names! Gotta love idiots! May 2, 2007 6:58 AM

Seriously, though, this is very scary stuff. There are even reports of female Realtor's pics being superimposed over some pretty graphic stuff. This was also showcased on Good Morning America. Bottom line....Don't respond. That's what they want. Encouraging them by responding, gives them what they want. I believe there's a way on our own blog posts to prevent anon's from posting? Just an FYI, and completely off topic....I just downloaded Yellow Brick Road and Grand Fund Railroad, Caught in the Act.( two of my favorite albums of all time...but I think I said that already in another post ) My kids are going to love this! Or, at least, I hope so. I think Ben will.... I also made him listen to Alice's Restaurant....he laughed so hard he agreed to pay for it out of his 13th birthday money!
