Found this on another website. You can add a ticker using Advanced Content that gives updated Amber Alerts. Go to www.codeamber.org, page the bottom and it guides you through. Very simple and a nice touch, I thought.

We have tried the alert out for a few weeks now and it does work OK, the script will remain amber untill the alert is cancelled, and remains amber for about 24 hours after that.

Thanks Cathy, I have thought of looking for something like this a few times, but never followed through. Going to include it on my site immediately.
I beleive I read in RELib (Al? Lonn?) that if you pay the Amber org the $25 per year (an option), you get a link from them to your site and that it is very powerful for SEO purposes.
It's only been a week or so for me, so the proof will be in the pudding. Hope it's chocolate!

I have a the ticker on my site and a link to find sexual preditors in your area. My clients with families love it!

I've had that link on my site for a while. It's on the kids page on my site.
Just had a DUH moment though. I guess I should also add it to the page where they can search for sexual predators in the area. DUH!
I've had the Amber alert on my first page for some time but hadn't thought about the predators link. I'll add it next time I'm tinkering with it!
