Thank you!!!!!!!  This began as one of my internet pet peeves and has since blossomed into my belief that A.) There are far more stupid people on the lose and capable of sending/receiving email or B.) There are far more people out there with nothing better to do than to forward this idiotic junk.  Either way, it's one of those things that just makes me want bash my computer against the wall....but then I open a good joke that someone sent me and I feel much better!

This is also a pet peeve of mine. I have a friend who is a social studies teacher who repeatedly sends me these alarmist and fake e-mails.

As a former teacher and media specialist, it IRKS me to no end when a social studies teacher embraces and passes along false info. A social studies teacher should be teaching about propaganda and discerning the truth!

Okay, I get all of these emails too.  But let me please just urge everyone to send the $1s and blank checks to me for funding of my retirement from this crazy business.  I just spent my birthday and the 9 hours in the car today with some relocating buyers covering all areas of the city.  Fortunately they were very nice folks and will probably really buy a house.  I am preparing for my long day back out with them tomorrow after just having had a nice dinner and a really good large drink (just me) with my family.

Actually, I just wanted to thank you all for the nice laugh at the end of a very long day!  This was enjoyable reading!

Y'all are a tough bunch, but at least you're honest!  If you're going to annoy someone or rip someone off, at least be upfront about it!

I agree with everyone about all those dopey people who forward those dumb things and think they're real!  I get enough junk email from kooks every day...I sure don't need it from my friends!  

On the other hand, I have $12 million dollars that a friend in Nigeria has asked me to invest...I'll send you a check for $12 million (because he made the check out for too much and now is not available to change it) and if you would deposit it and send me back a check for $6 million, we'll be in business.....!

I have a really raw but hilarious response to chain letters that's definitely not ready for prime time. A good bud sent it to me in the mid  90s and I have kept it ever since. It's very funny and I would send it to anyone who wants it via separate e-mail but it's not post-able here . . . LOL  candice@realestatebhc.com if you want me to send it to you.

We passed it around RT last year and got a kick out of it.

I am hoping that all of the people who send out these emails will take up blogging and then they will be too busy to write annoying emails!

Just set up a scammers and conspiracy theorists community site and give them points for their efforts and you will never get another annoying email again.

I have almost completely stopped all of these emails from being sent to me.  When I do receive one I simply hit reply all and

'Please help our mutual friend ____.  She/He has been afflicted with a rare but almost terminal disease called 'forward-itis'.  It compels then to forward all chain letters, requests for money and various ends of the earth.  I ask we all send ______ 15 peices of junk email.  This is the only known way to cure them.  Remember, we do this out of love.  Take the first step and lets save ____ together'

This always works and my friends do laugh but get the message.

Usually other people on the forward all list email me and thank me too!
