Florida Tax Reform

Ok...I know I'm blonde but I'm getting a wee bit confused. Apparently something has been approved and then there are additional changes that will be put to people. I've read through some of it but all of a sudden, nowhere do I see anything addressing those who are not homesteaded (the second home buyer). Did they just get pushed out in the shuffle or am I missing something?

The portion that will be voted on would allow homeowners to choose whether to accept a new "super exemption" offered by the proposed amendment or keep their existing benefits under the Save Our Homes Amendment.

Again, everything I have read is not giving enough detailed information to understand what the final compromise was and its effect.

The article I read in the local paper this morning says they are left out of the equation. So, they really didn't address the issues they were saying they were going to. Gee...who is surprised?

And one other question... I didn't see them address the portability issue. That hasn't even been mentioned in either article I read. THAT was a biggie for those living here.
