My wife and I are relatively new to the business (<2 years).  We have enjoyed some success through our SOI, and through just getting out and meeting people.  As a matter of fact, we have made some great friends as a result of the transactions we have closed (an unexpected plus).  We really enjoy the business, and are looking to take it to the next level.

Here is our dilemma: we have not done one single transaction in the neighborhood we live in!

Our neighborhood is "owned" so to speak by one agent.  He gets 80% of the listings.  To us, this is unacceptable.  We want to take back our neighborhood!

The question is, how?  Has anyone had success in dislodging a strong competitor from a geographical area or neighborhood they wanted to dominate?  If so, how did you do it?  Does anyone have the same problem?

We're ready to go, just not sure how to do it.  Ideas?

I am in the process of checking out a Real Estate Franchise called Envirian.  Their main pitch is that they are a technology company that just happens to sell Real Estate.

My questions:

1)  Does anyone on ReLiberation own an Envirian Franchise?
2)  If so, does their technology and TV spot advertising provide a significant competitive edge?
3)  Has anyone on ReLiberation ever heard of Envirian?
4)  What are your thoughts about Envirian, if you have heard of them or worked with them?
5)  Are there any significant positives or negatives with respect to Envirian?
6)  Has anyone done any significant research on Real Estate Franchises?
7)  If so, what did you conclude?  Who was best?  Who was worst?
8)  Do you have any advice at all with respect to purchasing a franchise?

Sorry about asking so many questions, but I have seen the help that this community provides its members and thought that this would be the right place to ask.
