I recently received this. Any using down payment assistance for their buyers or their listings may want to use the included link to contact HUD and/or your senator or congressman.

Your action is requested.
As you may know, HUD has issued a proposed rule change that in it's current form could eliminate ALL Down Payment Assistance Programs. If your buyers or sellers have, can, or might use a Down Payment Assistance Programs, this rule change could seriously affect your pocket book.
Not only is this proposed rule highly discriminatory, it also has several errors with the arguments and assumptions made.
But most importantly, there are no effective alternatives currently available to help Low to Moderate Income (LMI) homebuyers.
Privately funded Downpayment Assistance Programs have been responsible for nearly $3.8 Billion in cash to help hard working Americans become homeowners over the last 10 years. If HUD eliminates these programs it puts you the taxpayer on the hook.
Here's how you can help. HUD has a very short open comment period to hear your concerns.
We have a website set up to send your comments to HUD and to your respective Congressman and Senator. Simply follow the link below, scroll down to the comment section and follow the directions.

I'm sure you are busy so I thank you for your prompt comments. I'll be sure and keep you updated.
Please forward this to all Loan Officers and Realtor's you know.
