Stupid Question #2 - Even though I don't believe in them!

HANDSHAKES  --  aaarrrgggg  --  Are we busy people, uh, I think so.  Do we mostly want to shake hands, uh, I think so.  Do we have time to check "everybody" out, uh, I don't  think so.  I have another P2 website (another topic) and someone blocked me for content - YIKES!!!! blocked content on my Professional Website http://www.HomeSweetHomeFlorida.com.  which is my pride and playful joy.  Literally when I have time to play that is where I go.  Someone in my area, who I happen to have great respect for, docked me once for content.  I emailed and we spoke on the phone.  The brochure I print from the P2 Brochure, had referenced "for pics and VT visit www.etc.  When brought to my attention, It WAS removed. Stupid Question #2 is: how can I find out who blocked, for no reason I'm aware of, and try to come to an understanding?

You can see who has blocked you easily enough.  Log in to P2A, and on the Online Office (home page) on the right side you'll see "Handshake Agreements".  Just click on "Blocked by Them".  You'll be able to see their contact info and the general reason they blocked.

Does that answer your question?

Hi Phil, I did look there but it seemed like the Handshake Rating given was that of the blocking agent.  I saw something like 12-14 blocks for content, I only have 1 block for content -- so how can I tell which one placed that content block?  Let's hope the overhaul P2 gives handshake solves the many problems it has.  I hear the rollout is early March.  YAY

I guess I do not understand your question.

Is it, "..so how can I tell which one placed that content block?"

When I click on "Blocked by Them" on the Online Office home page, a new page appears and shows each agent, their name, company, etc., that has blocked me and at the far right their reason for blocking me.

Does that still not answer your question?  If not, and you want to try, email me outside of this blog at phil@newportlandhome.com .

Good luck.

Hi Phil, you do - you understand the question. At the far right, nothing says blocked for content.  Most say ....does not participate in handshake.  I have a feeling I know what's happened.  I blocked a couple of sites for content - one's a mortgage company.  One had no contact information whatsoever.  It might just be a spiteful move.  A lot of us will be looking for the BIG changes to handshake in March.  I personally would like to see all sites without company name,  licensee name, address and phone numbers just disappear.   How can they be professional if they're not visible.  I can't imagine any consumer willing to give out information to a blind website.  Just my 2¢
