Ok.....your weired, but so am I.  I use Outlook Express because that's the program I know.  I have tried Outlook but I can not get my pop3 account to work with it so why bother?  I use all of my other Office Small Business Edition programs, I just don't use Outlook for e-mail.

By the way, as to your original query, I have never had that happen to me.........yet.

Happens to me fairly often. I suspect it's an incompetent spammer.

I use Outlook and haven't had that issue.  It is most likely how spam-blocker software is reacting with Outlook Express from what I have seen online.  Most anti-virus programs come with a spam-blocker as well.  Outlook Express does not create a separate "Junk Mail" box like it does in Outlook.  So the software may be filtering the spam mail but since it has no place to go . . . it comes through as blank.  Most companies, from what I understand are not planning on providing "fixes" for this.  Is it a huge problem.  It's obviously an annoyance, but I can say that I have found messages in the Junk Mail Box that I wanted and if I couldn't have seen them . . . I would have lost them.    

I do recommend Outlook though.  If you're used to using the various email and contact funtctions in OE, the transition is not difficult.  The biggest benefits are the calendar, more functionality in managing contacts (easily assigning actionable items, attaching documents to contact files, etc.).

I also use Outlook for my main contact database system. I was using Top Producer, but after committing for a year, I personally did not see the benefit in continuing TP when I had Outlook for free on my computer. I have recently signed up for the 2007 upgrade trial and I really like it thus far---especially the color assigning options to categories. I do not use it for email, as I do not like the way the email is presented in Outlook or Outlook Express. It's just my personal preference.
