Most of the people I meet in and out of the business say "real-it-tor" and "real-it-ty".  They spell it correctly so I think its a subconcious thing learned from hearing everyone else saying it wrong.

Yesterday I heard someone say "real state" instead of real estate.

I am called a Realiter. I don't correct people, I would like to, but I figure I know what I am so it's all good.

I had a phone book company actually print my advertising with Preferred Choice Reality. ARRGG. Yep realty is a reality. But I know people can't spell the last name "Smith" either.

We also have the mispronunciation. I used to correct, but now I figure as long as they are working the deals, what the heck. :)

Do you say "morgage" or "mortgage"?

"finnance" or "fynance"?

I know someone who kept calling a "condo conversion" a "condo conversation."

Haven't you heard? "Realiter" and "Reality" have been added to the American Slanguage Dictionary!

I'm not sure if there is one, but there should be! :)
