Is It True?

I heard that that the more times you list yourself and your website on other websites the more traffic you will get to your website is that true? If so what are the best websites to put your listings on?

So far I found these websites to put my listings on:

http://1bestagent.com

http://1realestatecenter.com

http://1bestclassifieds.com

http://activerain.com

http://www.postyourproperty.com

I even bought side bar advertising on some of them....but think it is too early to tell if it is working. Please share your ideas on how we can get more traffic to our websites...thanks so much!

obviously the more times people see your website by whatever means the more possibilities for buisness.  Every ad, sign rider, email sent, flyers, business card, pens, any promotional item, your traveling advertisement (car) :) or where ever you can put the address the more traffic you will get!

No reason not to have it as many places as you can, as long as they are appropriate places to have your properties and website appear. You might try looking for local "area information" sites that have a real estate category, especially if they are typically high in the rankings for your preferred search terms, and even better if they are well-established and well-publicized. You'll  probably have to pay for placement with them, but it should be more targeted.

Hi Radley....not sure what you mean...Beth I have paid a lot for those so called listings and never got anything...another one I found was

http://redzee.com it got me a lot of traffic...but not sure it was good traffic and sometimes I think they just have someone who clicks on your listing to make it look like you are getting traffic...I just don't trust them because all they want is your money!

The more links you have to your web site the better it is for you. The more traffic you receive the better for your web site. It takes some work but you can get listed in many free Real Estate directories on the web.

Use your favorite search engine and type in    real estate directories  .

You will be surprised at how many there is. Some are paid directories..most are free. Many of these ask for a reciprical link on your website.

This takes some leg work but it helps your SEO results, it will drive more traffic to your web site and will increase your Google page Rank.

Good luck.

Ginny Lee, backlinks to your site aren't all that helpful unless they come from sites with good page rank. I would not have advised paying the steep fee for a listing on 1bestagent.com, which has 0 page rank.

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for the info.

That is a new website...sometimes I like to be first on new websites...you sometimes get a better deal. Sometimes I have a webdesigner build websites for me like www.americasbestagents.com

It comes up first when you go to Google and put in America's Best Agents or when you put in America's Best Real Estate. But it is a lot of work and money and time!

Ginny,

Do you find it often that someone Googles "America's Best Agents", and you get biz from that?

When I Google my name as a Realtor or my company's name, sure, I come up first, also.  Most of us do, I would hope.   That's minimal SEO work.

But what I want is to come up first under "(Insert City Name) Real Estate" or "Homes for sale in (City,State)", or whatever search phrases I'm targeting.

Actually what Redzee apparently has (according to some) is SOFTWARE, that "clicks" on your site.... They have a lot of bad press out there...
