Tweaking the website

What are you doing to your website that makes it stand out?
What are you doing to your website to make your rating in P2 stand out?

We see so many great websites but what are your numbers saying?  Are you adding pages for neighborhoods in your area or just buying the neighborhoods.  I recently bought 4 neighborhoods and didn't get any buyers.  I realize it might take a year with the same neighborhood but the expense along with all the other expenses is getting to me.  Becky Troutt said what use to work doesn't work now and she is changing things.  How are you chaging things?

Gloria, I asked more or less the same questions a few weeks back.

With very little knowledge of how to tweak it, I can of changed my website to a specific market - to my surprise, it went from 8 hits to  520 hits on just one day! - and still going strong with hits - but I realized that they are not staying on it - I was encouraged by Lu Cohen to go to Nancy Golliday for tweaking and customizing my website - she is working on my website, and I am confident my website will bring the results I want, by just looking at what she did for Lu's website - and she is not expense at all!  You should give her a call.

I had an ephiany a month or so ago -- and, completely restructured by website (www.ParkCitySold.com) to focus on services w/o a bunch of "fluff".  And, also an information capture tool on every page.  The site also de-empahsized me as a realtor ... so, looks more like a real estate service site.  Basically, I got rid of any pages that aren't focused on a specific need of the clients.  This means MLS Search, Listing Notifications, CMA, etc.  I've also started adding neighborhood specific pages with information on the area and market stats -- and, contact capture form.  I'm still gathering data to see if it was a valid restructuring ... but, retention is up.
