He is trouble for sure w/ an attitude like that.  All he will do is complain if he ever lists.  He is one of those that think use Realtors carry the plague.

I have nothing against the do it yourself-er.  I am happy for any FISBO tat can pull it off however a jerk like this should have respect for our profession.  I certainly have respect for him TRYING to sell his own home.  He should show you some respect.  After all he is using your site and for FREE might I add.  I am sure it is his source for what he thinks is a half $%$$ comp. I have a cold and a bit of a nasty attitude so forgive me for not loving this guy.

Stay clear of that nut.  Your services are worth way more.  What a jerk.  As if you would want an appointment with such a person.  Guess he forgets he is the one that has contacted you today.

I don't know about your market Gloria, but ours is a hardcore buyer's market right now. FSBOs who try that tack, I can barely keep a straight face. They can keep their house, no problem, I wish 'em well . . .

Gloria, I've seen two FSBO's in my area over the past month.  One who's not really serious (he's doing it to make a political statement) and the other is brand new.  All others over the past year are now listed with an Agent.  

FSBO's aren't what they used to be.  He needs to get real.  

Let him go, if he doesn't return he was never yours to begin with.

Have any of you noticed the FSBO's are more stubborn lately and want to wait it out.  With all the homes on the market you would think they would want an agent to advertise them so they will get noticed.

I have a FSBO I've been sitting on for over a year. (1,000000+ property)  She wouldn't give me the listing so I offered to advertise her home on my site.  She said she will e-mail the pictures to me and that was earlier this year, as of today no pictures.  Friday I got and urgent voice mail she wanted to know if I would put her home on the mls at no cost to her.  I called her back and politely told her I can on my website free of cost, but I cannot on the mls because I will be inviolation of the rules.  She said she will send the pictures and I'm still waiting.  She needs agent representation and if thats not me fine, I just wanted her to be aware that this is not the time for do-it-yourself.

I romance them sometimes for months. And if nothing else they give me the calls that don't want their homes, or list with me in the end. However, I don't bother with many of them. I can see why most are FSBO. One is across the street from the construction of a new water park. I personally would market to the crowd who may be about to sell.

FSBOxs are tough. And Gloria, with your great personality and marketing skills, try marketing to future sellers. Quit disappointing yourself. Or like me, work on buyers. They are happy!

I'm with you Gloria.  Lately, I've been hesitant to take anymore FSBO's.  The ones I've worked with tend to be difficult at best.  No matter what you do it will never be enough.  We're definately in a buyers market in my area, with a gut of homes on the MLS, why do I have FSBO's in my own neighborhood who think they can do the job just as well as I can, for less money?  Good luck.  I have my quota of listings and I'm focused on buyers.
