Yes, a Widget can cause severe damage, be very careful.
or answer B. I don't know.
But I did stay on topic.
According to Wikipedia, a Web Widget is a portable chunk of code that can be installed and executed within any separate HTML-based web page by an end user without requiring additional compilation.
Whatever....
I don't know if it hurts or helps but I have one on my home page for the Cincinnati Bengals. It just provides information about the team, schedule, etc.
see it at www.masonhomes.org
Once you figure out what a widget is, try figuring out what the ' 710 ' is there for when you look under the hood of your car!
I have tons of widgets and gadgets on my website. I have a page called gadget page and give the login so people can play with the gadgets to see if they like them before they install them. I give the log in for the page above the frame. I have a gadget widget for everything. I like them for rss feeds and also for showing my homes on pages and there are some that are just fun, like Calvin and Hobbs. Anyway look at the page Gloria and most of the gadgets are I Explorer or microsoft widgets. But now you can get some neat ones for your cell phone (Treo) also.
I have a TV widget when I am bored and waiting for downloads.
Anyway some of them are useful www.hometrackersteam.com and go to gadget page.

Supertechies, please correct me if I'm wrong but Gloria, widgets shouldn't be harmful to you as long as you are the installer and you have good antispyware/av software to alert you to any problems and of course, sufficient resources. The widgets are actually quite cool because they are portable and enable you to have control over where to place them. They're like little miniaturized dynamic placeholders for information.
I like how you snuck that one in Gene!
Gloria, whatever you do, don't put your widget with your thingmabob. That would turn into a WMD. And, you don't want that.
cathy - You must know what that 710 is for :-)
Gene, you are too much ... LOL!!
