I call them too. I find out that it is a false number given by the user. But I always "ask" if they are interested in property in Florida. I have closed two deals because I asked.....

Gloria _ Vance is right, drip them to death. It is just something that happens with registration. Be happy, the thing is they visited. They probably were not good to begin with but if they found something they like they will be back and their sign up will be different.

Absolutely! Go after everyone. I just received a call last week from a prospect where I only had the e-mail address. We starting looking at homes and it has been almost two years.

I don't require phone # on the registrations. I feel if they want me to have it they will give it to me, and hope I can develop raport with them via e-mail first.

Also, I found when I advertised on backpage I got a lot of weirdos and solicitation so I discontinued that spot.

We don't 'require' the phone number either but an amazingly large percentage of people provide one anyway.  I get a 'chuckle' out of those that provide a bogus number... if it isn't required, why give one at all. LOL

Real names or email addresses can often be cross referenced for actual phone numbers if you want to call  : )

I have been getting false prospects, the other day I got one from pinky and was asking some questions that could have gotten me in trouble with the Equal Housing people. Asking ethnic questions etc.. I sent the statistics page from the Port Saint Lucie website. I won't answer those questions anywhere to anyone. Maybe it was a test. It sure was weird.

Recently I got one from "Bob Alooie".  I turned to Susan and said, "This name looks familiar.  Have you spoken with a prospect named Bob Alooie?"  She cracked up and had to say his name back to me a half a dozen times before I 'got it'.  Duh!? ROFL

It's okay, though, 'cause Mr. Alooie is getting drip emails and he is reading them (or, at least, he's opening them). LOL

That's funny who was bob alooie again was that boo boo bear ? ...  I sent this guy all the info on the home he was requesting info about, he stopped emailing when I sent him the statistics page to read. I guess he saw I wasn't going to play his game.

You are right!!! LoL I love Lucy was a great show, my all time fave is when she was making bread and the one on the conveyor belt with Ethel.

I don't know Gloria, it doesn't sound threatening to say I am going to wash your mouth out with Dove, or safeguard, or zest or caress. My brothers ate alot of soap growing up but I could tell it wasn't their entre' of choice so I learned from that.

We get some creative ones too.  Last week Jesse James was reincarnated and was browsing for homes.  He even left his phone number - 777-777-7777.....

There are a couple places on my main site where it's in red that working phone number and e-mail address are required for registration. When they register, a screen comes up that basically says, "A human will respond and decide whether you will be registered."

I get some that register with bogus, then right away again with correct info. :)
