I'm looking for advice.  What are other agents doing in my situation..

If it is a specific question, I am not looking for quantity but rather a quality response :-). One or two are plenty if I get the kind of response I need. In other situations, when it's something in general, any comments are appreciated ... even the ones completely off the subject ... we all tend to get carried away sometimes.

I like to keep the conversation going in situations where it makes sense ... or at least post a thank you to those who commented.

On my posts sometimes I am looking for answers and the same for others. I check mine and others for answers and information and funnies. I am still checking for Gary's question to what does AGG stand for?

This is just a good read. I love it.

And I will be checking back to see who commented here.

On my postings, I'm usually expecting opinions and I always like to post a thank you for those opinions.

On others' postings, it feels like a conversation to me, so I like to see what responses my comment received, if any, and reply.

I like comments and I like dialog. I post because I feel it is like having a discussion with people that share some common ground. I am disappointed if I don’t get comments when a post was posted to illicit comments but some post are informational more so than looking for comments.

We all have egos and I doubt that any of us ever writes something in the hopes that it would be ignored. Sometimes the dialog can get a little hostile but good banter is healthy. Some of the best threads and most interesting I found were the one that had a debate going at full strength.

The atta-boy’s always are nice but they come with the awh-shi.. and they are sometime hurtful but that is the nice thing about blogging. If you get more of the atta-boy’s you keep posting and regardless if it is a comment or a post, I always check back.

I have gained a wealth of knowledge and information from this site and know more and have a better understanding of some of the regulars than I do of people I have known for years.

We are in the minority though since less than .005 % of the point2 site holders participate in this blog. I think they are missing out on a great opportunity and a wealth of knowledge.

My first stop is "latest", my second stop is "watch list", my third stop is the uppper side bar where the latest post's are.  I don't want to miss a thang!  I don't pass go and I don't click "most popular".

I'm just looking to beat the snot out of Lonn...(no offense there, FSBO master!)

Seriously, though,  my ideal post is one that gets people thinking and gets people who have never input anything to contribute!  I love lots of comments and 5 stars are cool too, but ultimately it's about sharing and learning for me!

Yes, I do try. Once it gets past the 3rd page, I don't look at it so much anymore.

How do you get on the featured contributor list?  I've been posting and just found out about this input list.  I don't even see myself on the side bar?  I want to beat the snot out of Ron & Lonn.  

I have high respect for this group, therefore, if I post I am looking for feedback, positive or negative.  I am interested in becoming better at my proffession.

As far as comments, I think that most of you are light years ahead of me, therefore, I only comment when I think I have something that would benifit this group.

This is an informational forum where ideas are exchanged. So, yes, I do look back for comments.

My comments herein are not authotitative; they are humble expressions of my wanderous mind or they are recollections of my past or present real estate experiences, whether they are good or bad.  

However, I am constantly learning from all of you.  I learn from your posts and I find my answers in your comments.  

To your queston, Howard, Gary said it best with the ego description. I find gratification when I see even only one star to my posts which, to my perception, means that I am contributing something that, at least, one person appreciates or finds helpful.
