Last week, during my floor time, a young man walks in. Dressed casually. says he wants to buy a home or condo and price is no object. He had just been in west pallm beach and almost bought a 1.8 mill home there. He stated he was a cash buyer and produced a bank statement showing a little under 5 million in an account under his name. He states his father was a doctor who had just passed away.
He has no teeth. He states during our conversation he just returned from Iraq. A roadside bomb had damged his mouth and he found his false teeth to be uncomfortable.
His car was a tricked out scion.
I showed him several nice homes. He chose a 1.7 mill home on the water. We returned to the office and spent an hour drafting an offer with all the addendum. cash deal, two to three week close. Before faxing the offer, I requested his drivers license. He said it was in the car and went to get it. He then just got in his car and left.
If he was casing homes, he picked homes with big dogs on premises- which doesnt make sense. I dont understand why anyone would waste time like that.
