Point 2 drip e-mail that worked well

I have a lot of visitors and browsers to my web page. We are in a vacation, retirement resort type area, Canyon Lake, TX. A lot of folks who visit my web site and register are dreamers, or very long time out. Maybe looking now for retirement 10 years from now. Most of them are from out of town, most from out of state.

I was brain storming on how I could find out which of these visitors are going to come view this summer. I had an idea that ended up being good and wanted to share with  you nice folks who always share with me.

I created a custom drip e-mail, titled FREE MAP. I simply ask if they wanted a map of the area to look over before arriving to the area let me know their mailing address and their approximate time of arrival.

I have had great response. And how wonderful to know who is really interested. This will also give me an opportunity to mail my business card and anything else I fell would be of use to them.

So....If you don't see me on the post much this summer, you know where I will be...

Excellent suggestion as this will work for those of us near a military base too.

Great.  Let us know if it leads into sales.  It does get your name out.  Will you be having your picture, phone # and email address put on the map where they can see it?  This would help if they lose your card but keep the map.

Gloria, that would be great, but I don't think I have time. Great thought for the future. I will find a way to attach the card though.

I will let you all know if this helps on the sales end.

Happy clients are better than lost clients. :)

Thanks!

Could you go to UPS or mailbox etc. and have a stamp made with your name and phone #.  I have done this before and it is so inexpensive.  Use an ink that is not on the map so you will stick out.  It shouldn't cost more than $5.00 or $10.00 for the self-inking stamp.  Takes about 3 days to get.

I have glued my business card to maps and sent them to prospects.  Rubber cement works well and rubs off around the edges so it looks neat.

Excellent idea, Gloria. And yes, Mark I am going to have to do that on the ones who already requested. I don't want to wait for shipment.

Vista prints. my favorite. I order from there all the time. Good idea. I have so many different cards, because they are so inexpensive.

Karen, great idea, thanks for sharing. I am always looking for ways to separate the ready from the lookers and tempt them to step forward. Sometimes the simple ideas are best.

Love it!

Whoops. There was a recent post here about typos and mispellings and how most thought it was intolerable. Well, I just looked at my original post and made a typo. It should have said feel. Not fell. I am in big trouble now. The goula monster is going to get me.
