As a brand new agent I found Point 2 and relib VERY informative of the do's and dont's of real estate (I have done a few don'ts already). I have sat on here for hours and haven't gotten brave enough to post but I want to eventually start!!!
Holly is our most recent associate team member of Sunset Canyon Realty. She is already a professional member. She is well on her way to real estate success. Good luck Holly, and you all be nice to her!
Thanks!
Hi Holly :)
Welcome to our world and enjoy .
VanceMart
Hello Vance. Any news from our Florida friends in Texas?
She has a 30 listing and told me when it is up she will come my way, we had a straight up talk! she is a trip ha ha fun to talk to..
"I Made Her A deal She Can't Refuse'
I will send a referral your way if all does go this way...Out :)
Have you found her anything yet?
Thank You VanceMart
I could find her something, the day you say hers is under contract. :)
Oh, this is not the rhyme blog. Sorry. However, yes, send someone my way, we have no hurricanes. No high insurance. Thanks Vance.
Hmm. Still talking in rhymes.
Welcome to Holly!
Welcome Holly and just post, only a few of the people bite and then not all that hard!
I've been selling since 2000 not near as long as some of the helpers here and everyday I find a post that helps me with something. Thanks to everyone, and hope I can help periodicaly. (did I spell that right?)
Wel, I'm not "newly licensed" but I am "most hungry for" ...
A GRILLED CHEESE SAMMICH! :)
"What are new agents most hungry for?"
Love, respect, clients...MONEY! ;)
Hi Holly,
You are one lucky girl to have Karen, she will take you to the top!
Don't be afraid we all make mistakes along the way that is what learning is all about!
Karen why don't you make training videos for the Internet I think you would do a great job...your enthusiasm shows through!
Not hungry but sure am thirsty . . . oh wait, I'm not a new agent . . . LOL
Grill cheese, had one for lunch, thanks Gary, right Bill, so true! Thanks Ginny, how kind. Candice, too funny. Me too. And like Bob said, you don't have to be brand new to learn. I learn here all of the time, just wanted to see if any new agents out there wanted to comment. As you all know we see how many views these posts get and very few comments.
Hi Holly! Welcome to P2, ReLib and Real Estate! I've been selling since 2002 and have learned so much from the posts on ReLib. Keep reading...the people here are gentle, helpful and fun!
Okay, there has to be more newly licensed agents out there! Don't be bashful!
Thanks everyone for welcoming me!! I have been on the other end of real estate for a couple of years but have never been an agent so I have a tiny bit of knowledge going in and alot of contacts so I hope in the end it will all turn out well and with Karen's help I shouldn't have an issue. She is great to work for and very supportive!!
Not new, but when I was, I was most hungry for good leads and good dialogue with which to handle objections.
Objections and problem solving is a good one. I have found problem solving is a big key to this business. When someone asks me to make a decision or get us past an obstacle (like appraisal came in too low), I don't immediately act. I take some quite time to think it through. Then I usually can come up with a solution to satisfy all parties. If I can't do it alone I ask for opinions. And it always is good to keep some folks in your rolodex like Appraisers. Oh thats right, rolodex out of style now, blackberry. :)
Holly, thanks. Now go give me five stars. :)
JK
Holly, welcome, I'm 2 years into real estate and still learning. Don't forget the message board lots of good advice there too.
Some of us as Gary says bite, and one of us, a bat but, all in all we are a pretty civil and terrific bunch. lol.
Bob, periodically.
Anyone seen bat girl?
are you calling me a bat but? I have been trying to work that off.
Candice mentioned "whip into shape". well.......anyway.
Dee, yes it has been nice seeing you here and active.
I know you all are out there. Other agents. You view, you don't discuss or participate. This forum is designed for that. You may e-mail me direct at karenweger@gmail.com.
Thanks again to all who gave the kind words.
And Holly does join us with a great background in related sales. She worked for the largest upscale land developer in our area. She has great connections. And the drive and motivation to succeed.
No solicitaions please.
I would like to know (from Point2) how to make sub-menus under my main links on my P2 site. I saw it on another agent's page and I am fairly tech savvy but can't seem to make it work.
Liane, p2 doesn't offer that but Jay Thompson could help you with it.
Karen,
No I'm not calling you bat girl, lol, that was reserved for someone else. I miss her comments even though we may not agree on everything.
Dee, I was just kidding.
Liane, you have some different options on Point 2 that may be similar to what you want. First of all you can move your tabs, you can move several to be viewed at the top, like featured. Or inside of a menu, like say you have one title "Buyers", inside there you can link to another one. For example, you could have a finance tab also, and a place in the buyer tab where they can link and go to your finance tab. Do you know how to create the links? Are you a standard member or professinal As professional you have more options in designing your page. You are welcome to e-mail me direct for help. Good luck!
P.S. I'd also hungry for ways to generate more leads for less money in advertising costs. Aren't we all, right?
Karen - Professional but I can't seem to get it to work the way I want it to. What I want is something similar to what this agent has... see www.pictureatlantasold.com and check out her submenus.
I am not that impressed with her web site. Most folks want to view homes when they go to a web site. Anyway, not sure how she created the web site, for this answer I would go to the Point 2 message board and post there and/or read the tutorial.
Yes, generate more leads with less money is good. There are often posts here about that and on Point 2 message board. Keep listening. Point 2 is a great start. Good luck! Keep us posted as you learn things and how they work for you. There was a recent post here that was very good about not wasting money and trying to do too much marketing or purchasing.
Liane,
Or you might call or e-mail Amber directly for her assistance in creating the sub menues.
