Been gone too long

Hello Fellow Relibers. I can see I have been gone too long. You let this place turn into an advertisng forum?

Real estate has been busy in my area. Missed posting. Have peeked in on some posts. The 3 new associates that joined my firm are doing well. It has been demanding. We opened a new store front on the main drag. I can now identify with an earlier post here who said they have too many vendors stopping by. Every title company, mortgage company, lawn man ( he was cute) and advertising medium has stopped in. I am waiting on the old man that has the million dollar waterfront to list.

Opening a new office is very demanding. More than I knew. Training agents is also. I read a post earlier about getting a brokers license. Moving on up. I think everyone should, however, a lot of research, thought and preparing needs to go into opening an office and training agents. You may not have time to post. :)

However, I will say, we are on our way to success. Writing contracts. And I could not ask for a better team. They found me instead of vice versa. It is wonderful.

And I am not hurt I did not win the Brownies from Mary. I applaud her winner.

Remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Karen, great to see you back! I'm glad to hear hiring agents is working out for you. I added another one 2 weeks ago. All five of us used to work at the same office at one point in time so I don't have to worry about any unexpected surprises.

While I finally started spending more time in our office instead of my home office, I still haven't had a single walkin that would be a potential client ... just all those trying to sell us something. So I just lock myself in when I'm there alone ... and I recommended the same to my agents ... you never know who's walking in and what their intentions are.

Good luck growing your business!

So glad to hear about your biz, Karen!  I'm sure you're probably pulling your hair out right now but you know it will be worth it in the long run.  Congrats on taking that leap!  Nice to hear from you.

Hey! I thought about posting on some of the recent posts. But it is like most folks are just full of their own theory. It is like when I worked for a large agency. The veteran agents are so full of advice. I almost think they steer the new ones in the wrong direction to have less competition. Spend all of your money on these expensive mail outs and advertising. You will not last long. Some recent posts I have seen almost seem of that character. Not one simple answer or suggestion but a book about how to do it.

I tell new agents......Focus on one thing at a time, don't try to reach the entire audience at once. Maybe focus oneadvertising one good listing. One neighborhood. One market, like Ranch, lake, etc....You can't reach the entire country looking for every type of property.
