I noted the blog post about the media spreading the news about how bad the real estate market is by Tim and Susan Fennell. Well, I have talked with several potential buyers lately that have thought the rates were approaching 7%!!! I was thinking about it, and I have not seen any news published lately that the rates were still below 6%. The number of mortgage ads have also dropped because they can't afford the advertising, I guess. It might be helpful to get the news out about the rates as well!

An internet lender had a good month, but that was not in Atlanta. The only one that is advertising is Ditech. I keep up with the rates daily for my buyers. I know what you are saying, however, about the 'Active Buyers.' I believe I mentioned the words 'potential buyers.' It is because of their belief that they are not 'active buyers.' My comment was more about the fact that there is no hype in the media about the low rates... just gloom and doom about the real estate market... foreclosures, prices dropping, buyers' market, etc. March 1, 2007 8:10 PM

We are all on 24 hour Anna Nicole Smith watch, the media is spending all of thier time on the issue, we know everything about her, yet she is still not breathing. I mean no disrespect to her family, but that is the current event. That is the MEDIA at work. Like a Soap Opera. March 1, 2007 8:21 PM
