Selling Waterfront Property in Sporting Magazines

Has anyone had any luck selling Waterfront homes in either the Magazines themselves or their online pages? There are so many magazines to choose from...sailing, boating, fishing, sportsman etc....I am looking for additional ways to advertise my waterfront home for sale and was hoping someone has had some good results aside from the usual listing websites.

I've had the best success by attracting prospects through SE organic placement and targeted, waterfront-specific ads using PPC.

The print ads, even in specialty mags, returned the same poor result as print ads in general.

I have attracted online prospects for waterfront properties by placing myself, in a general way, as a service provider that deals with those type properties. Attract enough of these prospects and you will sell the particular listing.

Depending on the waterway it is on, a large sign that can be seen from the water by boaters is a good ad.

Direct mail to neighborhoods near the waterfront property but not waterfront, geared toward those who may move up, is effective.

Seeing if you can get flyers in at local marinas can be effective.

But the best strategy is to promote yourself online as a waterfront expert. Learn all about the nuances of waterfront properties, and communicate this through online marketing.

Your web site link only has 2 w's (ww.tampamyhome instead of www.)

It can be fixed in your P2 office :)

Mike,

Sometimes my eyes read something, and my brain doesn't click very quickly.... what do you mean by "attracting prospects through SE organic placement and targeted, waterfront-specific ads using PPC" ?

I mean that I use keywords related to waterfront properties to try to get good placement with search engines and I design Pay-Per-Click ads for Google Adwords that are specific to waterfront properties.

Thanks for telling me about my website link...I went ahead and added that extra w..duh???!!....

I am not sure either about 'getting good placement with pay per click ads for google adwords'...I have never done this...I only have 1 property so far...hardly feel like an expert...

I will try the marinas...to see if they even have these boards for properties...

Thanks for all the help..I really appreciate it..
