The phones got quieter and showings slowed down ahead of Memorial Day here in Connecticut, but so far, no panic.
Spent a week in Cali by the pool . . . but I understand the agents were busy this past weekend!
We are extremely busy here at the beach, in possibly one of the world's greatest real estate markets, Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. We have the internet to thank for most of our clients, and are very happy with our often praised point 2 website

Busy in my area in Kansas. Listing one today, escrowed one yesterday, another pending. It has been non stop, didn't get a holiday break. Need more listings.
Lots of showings on my listings, and a new buyer client keep me busy during the 2 weeks leading you to the holiday weekend, and then everyone took a break here in the Charleston, SC area.
Serious buyers better make a move soon, as I think interest rates will continuing to creep up!
Busiest May our company has ever had.
It has been crazy for me! Did something different and the phone hasn't stopped ringing. I actually refered a buyer to another agent in my office yesterday, just because it was closer to her house.
Well Todd, what did you do different to make the phone ring??????
It has not been the busiest here north of Atlanta by a long shot, the existing inventory is growing daily! It seems buyers are having a hard time getting qualified.
Please tell us what area you live in if you post.
It's good to hear some areas are picking up, it may start the chain reaction we need to get things rolling everywhere else.
I agree with Lucia, business has been slow north of Atlanta. That inventory that we have is enough for 10 months without any more homes entering the market. Lucia, I have a great loan officer that may help.
Buyers are getting to used to the high inventory, and figure they can go back months later and buy a house they liked and then offer a low price! The rates creeping up may put a stop to that. I had an agent call me today about a listing I took last Thursday. Her buyer has made 4 offers, all at least $10,000 below asking price. She stopped the buyer from making an offer on my listing because it had been on the market less than a week. In the meantime, rates have gone up from 5.875% to 6.25%! Amazing!
I have several buyers.....but they all have something to sell first.
Todd, did the phone start ringing because of your ad you have out right now? You know, the one where you are standing there in a trench coat and saying "pssstt, hey you, wanna buy something?" Kind of like Ron Tarvins blog post a while back that had us all wondering? Is that what you did? lol
