A number of years ago I phoned and left a message to the seller saying that I was coming by to preview their home. It was raining hard so I removed my shoes once I was inside the home. The sun was streaming through the window directly ahead of me so that I couldn't see any more than a few feet. All of a sudden a dog appeared out of nowhere barking and growling. I didn't dare turn my back on the dog, but somehow I had to retrieve my shoes. I finally grabbed them, got out the door and put them on outside in the rain. I can laugh about it now, but I was shaking at the time.
