Matt, doesn't your MLS do the same thing?  Ours does.  All of the photos have a "watermark" on them from out MLS.  

I don't really see it as any sort of issue.  I think it's there so people can't steal your photos and use them.

No problem for me either.

Nothing personal here Matt, but I see no reason to fume over the branding...the more "important" the P2 brand becomes the better for all of us.

And no I don't work for P2, but I love what they have created, and their forward vision.  Best damn thing that has happened to my business in 21 years.

Matt the photos are "Branded" only on Point2 Homes site, Not your site

Click the link from Point2 Homes that goes to your site and the pictures will not be branded.

I have no problem with it.  They don't show up that way everywhere

I never really thought about it before this post, I mean I new the branding was there, but never really paid it much attention. Then I went to P2 Homes to check it out and found it to be somewhat distracting, but only because it had been pointed out here, and I was totally looking for it in the picture!

Sometimes things can become a problem for us from over-analisys, that in reality are not really a problem at all.

Matt, it is the new buzz word: intellectual proprietary, or, property. It is to prevent that "super" agent from using your photographs when the listing expires (it will expire!). It ticks me off, too! I LOVE copy and paste. Don't you?

Well here is my take on this subject.

As far as I am aware of the person who has taken photos that are in view of public  domain is the copyright owner of the photos..

I have had builders ask me if it was ok to use some of the photos that I have taken and are on my sites,for there brochures!! go figure of course I said yes its fair use of there photos in the first place.

Would I want my photos branded, only unless it was stated that my photos were courtesy of Vance Remele© to get the benefit of the advertisement.

BTW: None of the 4 MLS companies that I belong to will allow me to put my sign up.

5. Can't the photo still be stolen with a watermark on it? Who is going to police all the stolen photos?

Vance, I think I can photo shop that picture. I'll add some nice shrubs and maybe add a little something to the windows and place a Lexus in the driveway, too. Just things the next owner may want to do. Photo shop is FUN.

It's too prominant in my opinion. It overwhelms some photos.

You're right, Beth, and this is being worked on as we speak.  A more subtle watermark should be in place early next week.

I really like how Point 2 listens to it's customers and tries to find solutions.
