Latest Most Popular Active Watch List Amigos

I know we've discussed the need for selling agents to lock up after showing a listing and whatnot.  I think it bears repeating.  An agent showed one of my listings over the weekend and left every single light on in and out of the house.  The seller is in the hospital so a neighbor called me to let me know that the house was "lit up like a Christmas Tree."  Thank goodness all of the doors were locked!  Any suggestions for letting this agent know that while I appreciate them showing my listing, I would have liked them to turn out the lights when they were done?

I've seen a lot of posts lately about getting listings, calling expireds, going after FISBOS and re-connecting with one' s sphere of influence.  What do you do to get buyers?

One of my instructors in Post License class told us to WHODO everyone we come in contact with as in "who do you know who is interested in buying or selling a home?" and then handing them a couple of your business cards.  This is a little out of my comfort zone but I've tried it a couple of times.

So what do you do to get buyers.  After all, this is a great time to buy!  I just need to find some buyers.

As we approach another long weekend (for some), I am reminded of all our fellow Americans who are working hard to protect our freedom on the other side of the world and don't have the opportunity to spend a long weekend with their families.

Someone sent this website to me a while ago and I just wanted to pass it along.  http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html

I know this isn't real estate related, but we couldn't do what we do if it weren't for the sacrifices of those brave men and women in uniform today and yesterday.

I have a beautiful community and custom homes from the high $300's in West Georgia and no one can find me.  I can't put out weekend directionals or semi-perm signs due to county regulations.

I advertise in "tons" of websites and a few print magazines, I even have a billboard out on a major road but still my traffic has really fallen since the county stopped us from weekend directionals and semi-perm signs.  I do e-mail "blasts" to my local board and drop off flyers frequently.

When people do find me they tell me they were just driving by.  Quite often I hear "Boy I sure wish I knew about this about  ___ months ago before I bought my house these homes are beautiful".

Does anyone have some "out of the box" new subdivision advertising ideas?  I'd love to try something different.

I was told about putting "I.C.E." (in case of emergency contact) on my phone about a year and a half ago.  I mentioned this to another agent over the weekend and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about.

This is such a simple step to take to make sure our loved ones are notified if something were to happen to us.  Just put the name ICE as one of your contacts on your cell phone.  Law enforcement and rescue personnel have been trained to look for this for emergency contact.  Remind/tell your friends and family to put ICE on their phone - just in case.......

My builder is trying to decide to put either hardwoods or 18' or 24" tile in a kitchen.  I like tile in the kitchen for practical reasons (spills are not so "tragic" on tile) but love the look of hardwood.  What are your buyers looking for?  (Granite tops and maple cabinets in kitchen)

Note: this discussion has moved to the Point2 Agent Message Board (link).

What is the best way to market an airpark listing?  I have had a couple of airpark lots listed before but haven't had much sucess.  Now I have a home and hangar listed and I want to make sure I do everything I can.  Any suggestions?
