I was all fired up about this until I heard from other agents that they don't really work all that well. I never ordered the units.

You can you get them on E-bay for $20 bucks from time to time. I have a few and I use them after the house has sold to advertise myself when I need my large sign back.

I see very few talking house signs. I have never used it, and I can only remember one agent in our office that has. That says a lot right there.

I have seen them and thought it was a novel idea but didn't want to spend the money. I've never seen them cheap on Ebay, maybe Todd will sell one of his.

I saw Jim Lee of Tenn. had a bunch he was selling cheap. If you want his number or e-mail, let me know.

I like to use them at an office or model home, I think they work better with a flyer box on site.

I have them and if you have no overhead power lines and birds don't fly into the waves and they stay in calibration then they are ok at best. Here I can't get a good signal and the external antenna they want to sell you is an extra 120 bucks per unit.

Put the money somewhere else......

Even in Miami-Dade County, which is definitely not out in the sticks, the reception is horrible.

They work well here.

Alot of it depends on the soil content for broadcasting.

I had one go more than a mile once. We use them here & there.

The outdoor antenna is a joke. I was disapointed with mine.

I would buy one off ebay cheap try it and see how you like it.

Wire coat hangers still make good antennas.  Priced right!

Clients love our talking house boxes. We can't say that we've increased our lead generation from using them, but it is a feature that we highlight in our listing presentation. We run into very few around here so it makes us stand out. It's nice to hear that they can be found cheaper on e-bay (we paid $300 ea for ours- suckers!).

If you want something like that without the hassle of making sure you client doesn't play with the box check into the 800 number recordings.  I have heard nothing but raves over the 800 numbers mentioned here.  I almost got suckered into talking house too Maria.  Then I was lucky enough to talk to another agent who had them before I unpacked my box.  The company did give me a hassle about returning them, I wasn't too happy about that.

I bought mine last week from ebay. I bought 3 for around $450, 2 are brand new. I know its kinda expensive but I wanna give it a try but still cheaper than if you buy directly from talkinghouse.com I haven't seen any in my area either. It doesn't include sign of 18x24 and metal holder and I'm looking for that now. Anyone has that?
