Your Thriving Office

Just when I thought I had seen everything, along comes a great idea. It is a CD called "Your Thriving Office". It contains 2 each 39 minute tracks, "busy" and "very busy". Just put either track on a continuous loop and create the illusion of a dynamic office. It says "don't let the sounds of your doorbell, dog, baby (or worse yet), silence, ruin that major sale!"

"Make your office sound like a large, busy and successfull company. When the phone rings, just press "play". Your callers will hear background voices, phones, computers, faxes and more. Build instant credibility."

Not sure how you can build "instant credibility" when you are already lying about the size of your office. I thought it was kind of cool until they threw that line in. Mind you, being a one woman office, I thought about it for a brief moment.

Has anyone seen this? It is in a real estate software catalog I just received. For $59.99 it would be cheaper than hiring help. lol

Mary, I must be getting old!

I can't stand all of that background noise.  I would purposely avoid going to that place with all the noise.

My neighbor yells up and down the street for her little boy, instead of walking around looking for him.  It drives me crazy too.

I hear a train about 7 or 8 times a day in my town.  Why do they have to blow that horn so many times?  It is a law, I know, I call the RR.  It still drives me crazy.

I don't shop on the weekend or at Walmart as all that background noise drives me crazy.

My girlfriend says that it is a short drive (driving me crazy),  but her comments are beginning to drive me crazy too.

Nate's comments sound like something that should be on SNL. Let me finish them for him.

You know what Mary, your driving me crazy, too! The girl friend is gone and so are you. Now that's crazy!

Hi, Mary!

I've "seen" the background noise in movies ("Clear And Present Danger")...where someone turns on the "business noise" before they pick up the telephone receiver.

I agree with you that is pretty sad and desperate; and still funny that there's a market for that background noise!

Maybe WE should make our own Real Estate CD and fill it with "BUY", and "SELL" and "LIST"!   :)

Mike, you are right, it would come in handy for that. Or better yet, a recording that says "we do not accept sales calls at this office since we are also in sales. We would, however, consider buying your product or services if you would in turn, buy a house, lot, commercial building  from us. If not, hang up and don't call back and waste my time." lol

The background noise you're gonna hear at my office is rock and roll played loudly. But not while I'm on the phone! :)

The background noise would just confuse the other voices that are speaking to me in my head.

I have found it much better to call myself on my cell phone at the office and put me on hold while I call me on the second line to talk to me about the other guy on hold who has been talking about me behind my back.

It doesn't get any busier than that for me.

Chantal, just push the "stop" button. lol

Mike, jury is still out on you, lol. Last time I called myself on my cell phone was because I couldn't locate my cell phone. I never thought much past that.
