Who is using TV to Sell Homes?

Carl Goldberg, on another post, said he has a TV show.

Curious - how many of you are using TV to sell homes?

You may recall, I am helping a local cable company launch a 24 hour real estate channel in Toledo Ohio.

I am in the Hampton Roads area which consist of 7 cities and it takes forever to get to the area my buyers or sellers want to see.

We have suggested to the cable company to put time slots on for the different cities so far we have had no good results from the cable company.

Our company does a half hour every Sunday morning on the local CBS station.  Actual calls from the show seem limited but anytime you mention the company the line you hear is "Oh, the one with the TV show."  It certainly keeps the name out there and isn't that the name of the game.

Lloyd:  Thanks for sharing.  Understand the challenge.  Real estate is local, and it doesn't work long distance.  That was true before gas prices did what they are doing now!  Doing time slots for a market closer to you would be a big win if you can do it.  You might have to cancel your support of the shows you are doing now to get the TV station's attention ; )  

Wyla: That sounds familiar. There is a company here in Toledo that has a similar show.  They have a claim to faim.. We will put your house on TV.  People remember things like this because it SIMPLIFIES the decision about which realtor to use when one offers something desirable that the others do not offer at all.
