Portland Area Real Estate Blog - "Did I say that already?"

Information and random comments from real estate agents around the world. Sometimes helpful. Sometimes funny. Sometimes both or neither!

Rah-rah!!! Go team go!

After a slow start, where those of us who are active in this blog began to trust the system, daily I am finding gold nuggets here!   The "How to"s, and the "Don't do what I did"s so often are super sources of ideas, best practices and solutions.

Also, I find it fascinating to hear about the differences in the way we all operate in our various geographic areas.  Showing procedures, areas that do/don't have SUPRA lockboxes, different laws allowing/prohibiting certain advertising.  We all operate under such a wide variety of rules and conditions!

It's a great reminder for me during those times when I wish our local association or MLS system were better, more in touch, etc., that we do have some wonderful advantages.  And I try to be proactive and forward suggestions to my association and MLS telling them about the great ideas you all share with this group.

Thank you all for helping me be better.   Big Smile

Phil

I agree Phil,

I just forwared the idea of RSS feeds of our local MLS Stats. They said they would look into it, but liked the idea.

One day hope to get to work with you, sound like my kind of guy.

This blog is as close as I come to working in an actual office.

I appreciate other points of views and there are good tips and info provided here.

Also the ones who do post here all seem to be serious about their business and I like that it is professional!

I agree.  I have gotten some great tips and learned alot about real estate in other areas.  This blog seems more of a community than the message board.  And now I can refer to specific areas based on who I see on here.  It's a great way to get a sense of what sort of agent each person is.  Most of what I have been seeing is very positive.

I love this place!  I am here everyday reading all the posts.  I have learned quite a few other tips & tricks and other ideas that I never even thought of.  Some of them are just simple things, but never even crossed my mind!

I think it's a great place to share ideas and stories.  We all benefit from it.  I am always looking at ways to better improve my business and this has been a wonderful place to do that!

I feel like I have a rather LARGE extended family here.  It's fun to get to know people through their posts and comments!

I agree with Rick, this is as close to a real office environment that I get. I work with in a small office and mostly conduct my business from my home office. I don't have much interaction with other agents other than through my  transactions with them.

I am like Beck, I read every post. If I am not out showing or doing "real estate stuff", I am here reading and tweaking my site.

Thanks to all, you are a credit to the industry.

I agree with all of you. I signed up with P2 because I was looking for a website that was user friendly and a blonde from Kansas could use to keep information updated daily. Didn't even pay attention to the blog until recently and I am as consumed with reading the blog as I am with my business. I am in an area where the agents have sprayed their turf (yes, like wild cats) years ago and it has been 8 years to work into my flow. Got my brokers license about 1 1/2 years ago and had to start my own path. Business is good, right now I have all I can pray over. My plate is full. I have learned TONS of info off these blog posts. I agree with Becky Trouble Troutt, you guys are like extended family...bring your casseroles to my house this weekend and we will have potluck!! To quote "donkey" from "Shrek", "we will sit up all night and tell manly stories and in the morning I will make waffles"...

I am new to this blogging thing, but find myself reading it every day. I can't believe how much i've learned and how many great ideas you guys have given me. I live 120 miles from my office so I rarely go there and it's great to have other agents to communicate with. I love it!!

I've become addicted!  I've just really begun working on my site over the past month and even more over the past two weeks and I have learned so much from this blog.

The sharing of ideas, best practices and what hasn't worked is wonderful.  This is a fabulous community.

Better be careful, though, we may actually change the public's perception of "Realtor as Shark".  Wouldn't that be nice.
