Nervous excitement, but little to do with real estate in Portland...

Yes, I have too much time on my hands!  I'm doing some paperwork, off and on, but mostly killing time before I go to the dentist (ugh....you don't want to know....).

This has very little (zero) to do with Portland real estate, but I guess I'm nervous and need an outlet.

So, while you guys were all fighting over photos and legal/illegal sites, ads, aliens, I pursued the arts.

Amazing, that would work for my turf in Kansas.

I wonder if the dentist will send you home with some of that gas they use and see how much more creative you could be...?

Phil,

I'm sorry about the dentist! Been there done that and don't want to go back. Broke two teeth when a peanut decided it wanted to be a wedge between the two.

Good news is I met my dentist and now we are looking for a second office for him. Still wasn't worth the pain that night!

Life just hasn't been the same since that house fell on my sister. LOL

That's great!

BTW, Phil, my sister (Very much younger sister.  In fact my daughter just did the math and discovered today, that I'm old enough to be my youngest sister's mother! She did more math and further discovered that I'm old enough to be the middle sister's mother!  Thanks, Genius.) Anyway, The Youngest just graduated from Lewis & Clark, came back to NH following graduation for a "visit".  We spent all day together today and she's informed me she can't imagine living anywhere other than Portland and will I please help her break it to the "Fam" and smooth the way.  Why do the little sisters get to take off to Portland and the big sisters get to do the dirty work?

Also, do you know anyone in the Portland area looking to hire a 23-year old LC grad fluent in Japanese/American education and translation?  I'm sorry, does it sound like Big Sis is grumbling?  Not really, I'm very proud of her.

Phil, I love it! Thanks for sharing. Too cool. Hope the dentist went well.

Cathy, cute story! I have a younger sister that everyone thought I was her Mom. She does too. LOL.

Yes, Mary should have that art, you find something else.

Todd, you are the man, always thinking and working. Wish you were here working on my team.

Actually all of you. We would make a great team.

Thank you all again for sharing all your nice stories and experiences.

Hi Cathy.

Well, it's pretty great in Portland.  I moved here from Boston years ago(not from there originally...lived there 4 years) and just fell in love with the mild weather.   It's diverse, the people are polite and still private.  Sense?

I've heard it rains a bit, but I hardly notice anymore.

Congratulations to your sister!  You and your family must be SO proud of her.   A Japanese related major... it's a popular trend here.  LOTs of Asian business here now and more coming!   (I lived in Japan for 3 years.  It was so much fun!  Wouldn't want to live there forever, but I'll never forget that time in my life.)

Please let her know if she needs any help with locating here for good, I'm generally available :)
