You're correct, Phil.  A return to civility is welcome.  The friendly jabbing is still there but LaFamiglia, I think, has weathered it's greatest storm yet intact.  And we even gained to new member who doesn't seem to mind the ribbing.  We even got a great recipe out of it!

It's quite interesting how off track everything gets and that's when the fun really starts.

I was thinking this morning - it's always dangerous when I think - that the particular thread in question was almost like a mass hysteria/mob mentality kind of thing.  All who were there participated heartily and when it was over, we all got kind of crazy - kind of like when you drink tequila shots.

I was actually exhausted from it and am glad we are all back to our semi-normal, professional selves this morning - except for the guy with the man b**bs.

Both - I only work today when the phone rings, which it has 5 times so far.  All good stuff, too.

We are putting in an electric dog fence to keep dogs out of the flower beds and from digging under the regular fence.  That will be some hard labor because we have to bury it in our hard clay dirt.

I also have to saw off some of the branches from my 9 foot tall Rhodedendran in the back because it's too shady under it and the grass won't grow.

Then, I have to week a couple of flower beds, water the yard, etc. etc. etc.

I started listening to this cd at night called "I Am Organized Now," and it seems that I just can't stop setting things in order.  For those of you who have had children, it's feels like that nesting thing that happens a day or two before you go into labor - gotta get everything right.

Yes, when Jacquelyn gets to office on Monday, she will say "Wow".... before that time, we will all change our pictures and look like really professional and start talking about lockboxes and stuff.  I will even put my shirt back on !!

Howard, we got tons of rain, we have been sucking out our basement every night and day for about a month now. Ruined nice carpet in our family room down there. We finally went professional and bought timers to suck it out every 2 hours. The groundwater is so high, wish I could sue the city.

Hey Radley I am just fine, Florida is raining and no hurricanes yet. So that makes me happy. I went to visit some clients of mine this morning and saw what they did with it and got a referral so today has been good. How bout you? You would fit in I live 2 miles from the beach and no one wears shirts but the girls. LoL

I did get a new stove today to, the house I sold had a stove and they already had one, so I claimed it. Is that ok? I hope so it looks better than mine did. I had a glass top and dropped tabasco sauce bottle on it and it broke. Kitchenaid no less. And then lightening hit it and the panel went plooey, so I said someone was telling me it was not a good stove.

I actually do have appointments today and do have to scoot.  Glad FG is happy and well !!!

Nobody try to haze anybody until I get back which will be later tonite but I will be ready for some quality hazing later on for sure.  Matter of fact, I have to train a new Realtor how to do stuff and that will involve beer so my hazing skills will be ultra sharp later on.

Radley does like his hazing. He was very nice to Kim last night and just asked her to come up with a good chocolate chip cookie recipe in 2 minutes. She was a real trouper and did it. I just hope we didn't scare her off, she was nice. She innocently found this site and wasn't sure where she was. It was pretty funny.

I agree with your advice (this time I got it spelled right) that Melissa should come back and give RELib another try. Now that she knows personalities a little better she is more apt to roll with the punch. Look at how we all destroyed todays blogs and nobody got upset. It's a place to put the formalities aside, let your hair down, have some fun, share ideas and daily frustrations, ask for advice, and get to know the person on the other side of the country.

I know when I first started posting on Advanced Access, they were a little rough on me and I did just like Melissa and said Good-Bye. But then someone who knew me from Realtalk chimed in and said I had a lot to contribute and to stick around. He knew me from when I opposed the unbundled fees Realtor.com was beginning to charge and I had set up a website called JustSayNo2R.com and gathered over 1,000 signatures of agents who were not planning on renewing their contracts. I returned to their forum and have enjoyed it as much as P2's, posting regularly.

Bottom line, hang in there and let the regulars get to know you, and you get to know them, as you add your comments.

No, it was me and Jim gave me a JIM designation for it. I'm one of the few (less than 100) who have that sacred designation. I still have all the pages on an old computer but shut the site down awhile back and someone else grabbed the URL. I got to know Alan Dalton at Homestore over telephone calls and found that he was a pretty nice guy and he couldn't be blamed for all the fraud that went on before he got there.

Here's an old archived page showing me as the first signatory. Sorta' like the Declaration of Independence (from R.com). I had people calling me ready to sue me as well, some from high up in NAR since R.com is their baby, but I held my ground and shut it down on my own terms.

Sure are a lot of old friends on that list of names. That's why it's great to blog on these message boards and get to know so many agents in other areas. Then, when there are NAR functions, etc. you get to put a name with a face. Candice, did you ever sign it, and if so can you still find your name? Wonder whatever happend to Lois Marie Hekker. She was extremely sick and was fighting the local government that wanted to take away everyones waterfront land to do other things with it.

If you click on the Alternative Vendors link, you will see that back in 2004, P2 had signed up 7,500 agents and expected to have 20,000 by August of that year. Look at their numbers now! Amazing how they have grown as well. :-)

Radley promised we would all get cleaned up by monday. And Mary has a broom, and I think Cathy and Bee do as well.  I know I keep mine polished in the cupboard.  We bring them out at midnight when Cathy gets the cauldron bubbling.

Well Ok Belinda, I am a good sport but I do get hurt and sometimes it takes me time to get over it, but I never hold a grudge. I would not have raised two successful boys if I did not forgive. I do have some different views on things, but that should be ok. Sometimes I even see I am wrong. I think about everything that hard. I like to watch the science channel. I just am open and say things I think people should understand but usually misunderstand. My husband tells me that all the time. He says I have my own language he calls them melisaisms. I have met the Dahli Lama and sat with Ambassadors , have done quite a few things, but none of it means anything unless you learn from it. I am open to learn about all religions and walks of life.

I just wanted my name off that blog because I had the rss on my site and it was embarrassing. Can't you try to understand that without being mad at me? I think sometimes there is room for fun and sometimes for serious. But Inman’s chat is very serious and this was more like chatting. I guess I had to get used to that. It is more informal. But that’s not bad just different. That is what makes us all unique.

I went to the movies with my husband Lee and had a quiet night. Now I am working on my website and myspace. I lost it!!! I had one I know it, but there is only an old one on there. I have a good one that shows my 4 chihuahua's and the fact that I am dutch and do have rosy cheeks. My business partner Caroline is from Suriname and speaks dutch but I am dutch and only speak a little, 3rd generation. My grandmother Bertha was my idol. I had Caroline and my pic on here together but she needed it off for awhile for business reasons. So I have to be a hometracker instead of hometrackers for awhile.

Went to Graceland Gene love that place. Elivis was an alien and is still alive and his name is Radley. Don't let on we know.

Melissa - I saw you had a dog photo in your profile so knew you were an animal lover. Cute new photo there of your pooch with big teeth! I've never done anything on MySpace or YouTube but they both sound interesting. With a half-dozen websites, I have enough to keep me busy. In fact, tonight was the very first time I have ever recieved an email where they filled out my Home Value Form. They even gave me a phone number and all the info I need. Usually people just call. I used to be signed up with HouseValues and did a ton of price opinions online using their software. Once I let it expire, I designed my own pages where I can give tire-kickers a quickie price to see if they are serious first. I use the value-range pricing that Michaela is currently giving a test run with on a listing.

I have a page on one of my sites that you might enjoy since you like dogs. I posted it before but here it is again. (and I won't tell anyone about Rad really being an alien living in Roswell, N.M.)

great site Gene, My husband is from New Orleans and his mom and sisters live in Baton Rouge so it was a scary time. I wish I could take them all in. My first job was at the Vet school in Ithaca, NY doing a internship for lab work. I did research for PhD’s and learned to love the critters. I worked in animal hospitals then people hospitals in labs, then computers and then on to paralegal work, statistics and now Real Estate. I liked my first job the best, boy I have some good stories from the agriculture school. It was a state run department and we did allot of the state testing and worked with the CDC, It was interesting. I have 4 dogs, 3 cats am caring for a sick dog right now. I have to feed her every two hours baby food. My oldest Chihuahua. It's been hard but she is getting better.

Thanks for the site. I went through Frances and Jeanne and lost most of my house but after two years it is almost back together.
