Real Estate motivation for the day.

Just some motivation for the day.

Looks like we could be coming out of our national slump.

Pending home sales for the month of June have increased 5% higher.

Find out more by visiting the NAR link below.

http://www.realtor.org  under news we can use found on main page.

A friend who is an agent has an excellent blog.  He sends out motivation each and every week to both his colleagues and prospects.  It is fun to get this encouragement each monday.

I would love to see us start a trend like this.  His pertains to both real estate and life.  He gives you a summation of his practice in real estate for the past week then goes on to give you your motivation.  Here is an example of his post from Monday.

"Examine what is said, not him who speaks."

Arab Proverb

Sometimes we don't know where or from whom good advice will come to us. Have a great week and be prepared to listen.

This could be a great addition to our sites and of course our fun here at REliberation.  Would love to offer something like this in a weekly drip to our clients.  Hope it gives you an idea.

Thanks for your time.

Christina

Christina - that long domain name jacks up how all posts are displayed. Can you either make it a "hot link" or use this URL?

I guess nobody wants some motivation.  I am sad.  Oh well I motivated myself.

Anybody watching the stock market and hearing about the major lender that was cut off from funds today knows that there is TROUBLE ahead in the mortgage business which funnels down to the housing market. It is not a rosey picture ahead.

Not just from whom, but from what or where, Christina. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Especially when you're after it!

Gene,

We had a closing scheduled for tomorrow and American Home Loans was the lender - since they've gone bust we have been scrambling all day to get a new loan package together... it hasn't been fun!

I had a lender here willing to pick up the pieces and work with the other loan officer and buyers to try to get deals salvaged. It seems as though the loan officers are human too and want to help others out just like we would pitch in to help other agents.

Hence my post from this week regarding the subprime lending market.  I got a lot of crab for being the bearer of bad news so i decided to be the good guy.  do 100% agree with you Gene but just wanted to bring some cheery news.  I just think loan officers need more disclosure.  We have 20 to 30 page contracts here in Texas.  All full of disclosures.  My husband had a loan officer license but never used it.  From what I have seen they do not have have to disclose like we do.

Candice you are my girl.  I wish I had a little bit of sunshine like you to shine on me everyday,  How did things go with the crazy tenant who moved in on your listing?

LOL, went there with my husband and our favorite firearms to check it out today. No sign of life. Cops chased them off. They took my sign down. I put it back up. Takes a minute with a sledgehammer . . .

. . . and I got a nice price reduction from the owner so we could get it under contract before the next 'tenant' arrives. . . LOL
