OK, so here we are. Now what?

I'm not sure, but if this thing winds up like just about anything else Point 2 does, it should be good!

A community blogging platform for real estate professionals... interesting, though certainly not a new concept. There are a few community blogs out there in the "blogiverse". Many are probably familiar with ActiveRain. But that's really more of a "social network" than a community blog. There are two real estate blogs out there that are outstanding examples of true community blogs -- Rain City Guide and The Bloodhound Blog. A new community adventure is starting at MyHouseKey.org. There are others...

All of these blogs differ from a "single author" blog like I run at The Phoenix Real Estate Guy. A community blog provides a lot of different perspectives. THIS community blog could get very interesting as it brings together real estate professionals from across the world. We all have Point 2 in common, but we all have unique opinions and views of the real estate world.

I'm looking forward to participating!

We all have a limited time to participate, and the number of forums continues to increase. I'm not sure it it's better to participate fully in a limited number of communities, or spread yourself as thin as possible and get as many links out there as time allows (while good for SERP, not very personally satisfying). Most of it really ends up depending on the community. I don't like forums and blogs that just constantly put people down and are full of "negative vibes". Now an occasional rant is prefectly fine, and understandable (I've done it more than once on PhoenixRealEstateGuy.com!!) It's the community that makes a forum in particular, and a blog in some ways. I think it's better to participate as fully as you can, rather than spreading yourself so thin you can't really contribute in anything. Others may disagree.
