Maybe this will encourage some people to mange their handshake agreements and keep up their end of the bargain. I can accept if someone may want to block me for whatever reason they feel appropriate since this at least is evidence of an effort to manage the listings they display on their websites; however, I find it disappointing that so many people just can't be bothered at all as evidenced in the ever increasing number of pendings.  I'll be watching and am looking forward to this change.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention - I didn't even notice.  My pending approvals were over 4,000 now it's less than 3,000.  It also reduced my completed handshake agreements from over 1,100 to under 900.  I guess some of those were deadbeats, too.

I receivie and review the new listings notification.  I've been thinking of blocking individual new listings belonging to "pending their approvals."  I don't want to block them completely hoping they'll come around eventually.  I haven't done it yet, what do you think, Scott?

Try to look at my pending approval at least once a day. I am always working on the website because why else would you pay for advertising you are not using. The only complaint I have is that I am pretty new to this and somebody did not handshake because of content so I emailed the person asking what content was wrong? I got no answer but I saw that that brings your score down. So if someone blocks me I would like an explanation with it so I can fix it. Also I have found co-workers in the same office tend to not handshake because of competition that defeats the purpose of this site. Ego's can do strange things; don't you think it would help if everyone's sites advertised your listings? I don't think you should discriminate if someone does not have all million dollar listings. There are some regular real estate agents out there like me that work with the everyday people. :)

I don't block anyone, the more linked together the better.  I've been blocked for content as while, don't know why.  But I did notice their PI score was very close to mine.  Maybe they are trying to keep my score down by blocking me for content, who knows.

I review my handshake agreements every time I get an e-mail from point2 telling me about a new listing that's been put up, and I put the people who have listings on my "approve" list.

I figure if someone gets a listing and takes the time to put it on Point2, they're an active agent. I'll even take people off my "blocked" list if they have an active listing in my area.

Usually, all I see back in return is an "approval pending" message, and when I check back later, it's still "approval pending" even a month or two down the road.

That's a little disappointing, that Point2 agents don't check and update their handshake agreements frequently.

I guess they haven't gotten to Oregon, but can't wait.

Having people in the system is only good if they are rowing WITH us!

I've heard about blocking if the content, such as little or no pictures, was insufficient. I've taken the policy of approving all listings that come across. Don't know what the pending their approval, etc. means but on my part I'll accept. Awesome working with all of you.

Having P2A take an action to clean up the system is great. I personally do not have time to investigate every agent that wants to handshake, so I approve everyone. There are a couple of agencies in my area that block everyone but agents in their own offices. All I can see it accomplishing is to reduce the amount of changing content on their sites and hence negatively impacting their SEO. Unless I see someone abusing the system for what ever reason, I believe in approving all handshakes.  P2A is an exceptional system!
