I have seen a local trend that has me furious! Many agents in our area aren't giving feedback after showing our listings. There aren't even leaving business cards after showing our properties. In this market with less and less showings per listing our clients are desperately seeking feedback. I have called several agents back and left messages with no response. I am seeing this as a pattern in our local market. We all need feedback on our listings so that we may make changes ie: price reduction, repairs, curb appeal etc. Many of my clients tend to make changes more readily from the feedback from other agents when it collaborates my advice. We are seeing more agents driving buyers all over town to show tons and tons of listings and use that as an excuse not to call. Clearly we must find a balance, and yes we have tried post showing emails etc. with no great response. When they call for showing instructions I clearly inform them of the need for feedback still with minimal response. Anyone having the same issue?

We need an Opt-in Form on our websites

I previously posted this request on the message board with no response. Hopefully, everyone would agree with the suggestion and Point 2 will respond. As we all agree, we have websites to market ourselves and our listings but it is an important tool to capture leads. It is great to see our website statistics increase but we need a mechanism to capture leads. An Opt-in form is a great tool to capture the lead then you can automatically place the lead in the drip campaign. You can entice leads to sign up for a newsletter, ebook, real estate updates etc. This system is currently available when clients request free reports but I would like to see the opt in form as a standalone lead capture that can be placed on your front page. Your feedback is requested. Thank you.

So Much to Do....So Little Time!!

This business has been very tough! We have so much to do! Now we have blogs, search engine optimization, websites, marketing, follow up, feedback, showings, CMA's, prospecting and the list goes on. We are also getting bombarded with the "gurus" or "experts" with the promises of being first on the search engines, the promises of leads, the promises of webtraffic, the promise of working 10 hours a week for 6 figures, etc... It just doesn't end. It clearly is draining and could be extremely time consuming. The facts are the facts: Getting belly to belly with your clients(new or old) or prospects is the only way to increase your business. We still have to work to increase the pipeline but it gets overwhelming. I really enjoy this business and am doing fairly well. Some clients think we are paid too much or others may treat us like the plaque it get's tiring at times. I dedicate a good percentage of my day thinking about my listings, my clients, my website etc. and there are times clients think we don't do enough. We also have families to support, love and spend time with. Anyway regarding my post: This is a great venue to network, give advice, receive advice, and vent. I want to personally thank everyone that is contributing to this community and it provides a breath of fresh air. And yes time management is key to our business. Any good pointers, advice, and recommended systems or companies is always appreciated. Thank you.

Search Engine Optimization

First of all I would like to thank Point2 for creating another avenue to network with our peers. Just a quick observation: Hasn't everyone been inundated with website sales, internet marketing companies, SEO marketing, etc. for your businesses? Who do you trust, who do you believe? I personally believe that Point2 has given us many tools to succeed and an excellent product. But, having a website isn't the key to leads or internet success. Marketing is the ultimate solution to getting leads but that alone doesn't guarantee a conversion to a client. That is what I struggle with and hope this forum can provide some success stories and strategies! I would like to say that I have made some requests on the member forum without a response from Point2. Here are a few let me know what you think. 1) Allow reciprocal linking between members just like the handshake agreements-from what I understand this helps in Search engines 2) Allow a customer opt-in list form on the website to capture leads-you can offer the free reports, a newsletter etc. then place them on the drip emails. Our sites need to be for capturing leads and client conversions. I get some good traffic but minimal conversion. Once again thank you and looking forward to learning from my peers!
