Point2Agent Blog Tutorial!

How could I have missed it?  Do you know how sometimes you are so wrapped up in the tiny details of something that you completely MISS the big picture?

Well, that's what I did with the P2A blogs!  I was worried about technical stuff like redirects and robots.txt and domain names and the whole time I was missing one of the greatest features of the P2 Blogs.

What's that?  The ability to CUSTOMIZE it! Like I said...how could I have missed it.  And looking over a lot of agent blogs around here, looks like I'm not the only one!!

So here is the skinny.Log into your Online office and click on GO TO BLOG in the top menu. You'll now be on the page that says SELECT A BLOG.  Click on MY BLOGS.  I know, it looks like that tab is already selected but click on it anyway!

Next Click on GLOBAL SETTINGS.  From Global settings you will see two of the most important things the blogs offer!  TITLE, DESCRIPTION, and NEWS and CHANGE HOW MY BLOG LOOKS.  I know!  How could I have missed THAT!!!  But I did, so I thought more than I could benefit from how to customize your blog look!!!

So click on CHANGE HOW MY BLOG LOOKS and you will see that P2A has provided about 50 customizations in various color schemes to make our blogs look, well,  more bloggy!

Don't forget to go back and change your Title, Description, and NEWS as well as those are important SEO items!  And I'll give you a hint on the title and description...your NAME is not going in either blank!  (it's just not that important a search term!)

Oh yeah, and don't forget to click SAVE when you make your changes!  My blog customizations can be found at www.katyrealestateguy.com  (Ok, don't shoot me because of the URL!)

These friendly hints have been brought to you today by the letters R and T ...and the NUMBER 19!

THANK YOU Ron.  I never knew we had the ability to customize our blog either.  I haven't put too much of an effort into it yet.  Maybe it is because subconsciously I thought it was ugly!  I don't have anything to post right now, but I'm heading over there and changing how it looks.

Took me awhile to figure it out ... The templates we can choose from are great! ... I do have to say though, that the navigation around the blog and navigation tabs are somewhat difficult to understand right away. Not as easy as our Point2 sites but once you know where to find things on the blog dashboard, that's all you need to finally start using it!

I started a blog for each major market I serve.

One for Toledo,OH, one for Sylvania, OH One for Temperance/Bedford MI.

I will post monthly stats, new listing data, sales data, percent sale to list, avg sale price, etc.

Somebody could actually do a blog for a subdivision...  Post all listings and sales...  Garage sales, etc...  Hmmm.....
