Each time I syndicate a listing, I think about using Ebay but always thought that $300 was kindda stiff....... Has anyone used Ebay to promote listing and has had success? What kind of properties would work best on this channel?
Sagine
Sagine ask What kind of properties would work best on this channel?
"Advertising your web site to over 200 million viewers worldwide will work"
Well I have used it many times and did very well, first I would like to say it is $150 for 30 days or 5 bucks a day , 300 bucks for 2 months
Now in The Orlando Sentinel a weekend ad of size is more than that and will get lost with the rest of the ads.
My opinion is that newspapers are for news and the cost to run ads is out of hand.
Now as far as e Bay goes you get to play to a world wide audience 24/7
for 30 days, the newspapers last one weekend and are trashed no value there.
Since we are both in Florida and play to a large international stage what better tool to use to get your web site/name out there.
You can go as far as you want, even copy your front page of your web site and add that to e bay !! grab a listing or a new project and run with it.
I had chose a riverfront new construction condo project in Titusville and put it on e bay for starters and sold one for $594K off of e Bay"
you can see them on my web site, SOMERSET riverfront condominiums
The return was well worth it as you can imagine.
In a down market as you know advertising is paramount more then in a good market.
I have friend who felt he did not have to advertise , well that has changed now and he just ran his first add it was a little bit to late he ran A GOB ad..Going Out Of Business
Does e bay work? Yes it does and I will toot my own horn to show you in the link below... for 5 bucks a day almost the cost of a number 2 at Mcdonalds go for it..

Just some FYI but you may already know this anyway
Point 2 has nothing to do with e Bay or what e bay charges
Give it a shot and e bay a property with your web site information.
Good Luck
Vance, not bad at all. I see your listing has only been up there for two weeks and has already had well over 400 visitors.
Also, I looked in Orlando and saw that there are only 14 listings on the site for Orlando...meaning that your listing stays on the front page of the city search for the length of your listing.
Not a bad way to go at all.
Hi Chantal, thank you
If I remember you also ask about e bay
Check out this Arthur Rutenberg, "Biscayne" Model Home on e bay with Horizon Realty International in Sarasota, FL. talk about getting your advertising moneys worth worldwide! "Priceless"

I have a huge property coming up that will be on e bay real soon if all goes well it overlooks Lake Eola and is 36 stories high it has a wonderful (View)--- hint hint ha ha
You're funny Vance. Let me know how you go with that listing with the nice View on lake Eola. I was one of the agents that was marketing the Vue before it was built. I sent out 50,000 post cards promoting the property and held a cocktail party with about 70 attendees. I may have a couple of people that weren't ready to buy at that stage that may be ready now.
Chantal
Now that's to funny :)
I will e mail you as it is in the final stages if you want, there is plenty of room in it for you,,,,, :) get those post cards ready again ha ha

Your welcome Ritu
Good luck with it, keep us posted as to the outcome ok.
VanceBay :)
Vance, no problem. The post cards were paid for through the company - not me :)
But I'm sure there is a lead or two that can be rescued.
Thank you Vance, I will try it and report to you and everyone on my results.
Ok for those of you that have done it..what's the proceedure.
Just click the ebay button and go from there?
Do they bid on it????
or is this just listing service area?

Actually you're wrong there Vance.
We have a sweet revenue share deal put together. The revenue split is as follows:
eBay: 100%
Point2: 0%
:-)
Hi Carey! Nice to "see" you! We need new photos of your daughter!
was thinking the same! Carey, what have you been up to? Haven't seen you much lately!
Carey!!!!!!!! How's my Madeline?
Ebay for my area is virtually non-existent. I continually check back but the ads are only for timeshares and summer rentals. I get more activity from Craigslist.
Best of Luck to those of you who are going to try it!
Hey Carey
Hope all is well,
I just saw your posting about your revenue sharing deal, great split ha ha
At the rate my last month has gone, that is what my split was ,Nada, Zero, Zilch:)
But in the next 2 weeks vancebay is going to go back to E bay with a real biggie, in which both my Georgia and Florida web site will get bookoo exposure of course that includes Point 2 and will be in the Million range and will be title Live, work, and Play.
