It seems like real estate agents have been getting a bum rap. I have found the majority of my colleagues in the Northeast Georgia Board and on Point2 Homes, to be fine and upstanding citizens of great warmth and integrity. In fact, most are bright, articulate, helpful and darn right witty!
When my husband and I just recently purchased a new home, we were stunned by the skeptical reactions of even some of the nicest of people, including my own mother! It seems that many individuals have the impression that real estate agents are just salivating for an opportunity to steal an unsuspecting little old lady’s home or land for as little money as possible!
In reality, we are fairly similar to everyone else. We saw a home that we REALLY wanted because it was in the right location and it fit the criteria that we had established that we wanted for our next home. We made an offer to purchase the home for what we thought it was worth. The buyer made a counteroffer. We probably paid a little more than we should have for home, but it was the best home on the market that fit our needs and budget, so we accepted the seller’s price. End of story!
I just want to know when “Hug a Realtor Day” is celebrated!
So cheers
to all my colleagues who are often underappreciated and misunderstood!
Keep up the good work!
