Lately I have been thinking about putting together land and home packages. I want to help buyers connect with builders and lenders to make a deal more palatable to the buyers.
Any ideas?
I'm going to call all the pre fab co on coast and become a agent or at least get a referral fee off them.
Some people have the home building dream and make the mistake of talking to the architects first. Then when they do talk to a builder they find out what the monstrosity is going to cost to build. Then re size and the architect dings them again for re doing the plan. Then they find out that the architect does not provide engineered drawings and they need and engineer. The engineer changes the hole building because it cant be built as drawn.
There is a good case to be made for pre fab homes.
I would find one or two good builders in your area and strike a deal. I do this here in Charelston and my builders will pay a comp on any deal I bring to them. Be careful with the lenders you pick as well, the wrong one will make you life a living you know what
Carmen and Jeff,
Thanks for the great idea. It sounds like the perfect project for Steve! (my husband)
New homes can be a lucrative source of income. They can also be a challenge, especially if you are in an area that has over-built recently, as so many have.
As an added feather in your cap you might want to consider taking one of the CRS courses designed specifically for new home sales. You don't have to pursue the designation to take on of the courses. Check the new home course out at"
