How Did You Find Point2?

One lucky day, we discovered Point2. We had a fellow helping us to enhance our utilization of all of the capabilities of our IDX provider, when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the web host that we were employing at the time.

He told us about Point2 and the rest, as they say, is history.

I am especially curious about those of you who joined in the early years of P2.

How did you find Point2?

Sharron, when did P2 actually start? I had signed up with another web designer and my son could have designed something for me but I think I got an email from P2, I actually don't remember. But I signed up with them and like alot of agents I never really investigated anything, had the standard pics and verbage that came with it and one day the light came on and I decided to take it up a notch.

When did relib start? I don't think I even noticed it before and when I did I just started reading and laughing and jumped in one day.

I am still learning, haven't figured out how to do the IDX yet, maybe some kind stranger will help me if I wimper enough.

wimper, wimper, wimper.

Sharron,

Ditto here,

P2 found me.  I got an email back in 2003 and I don't even remember who send it to me but I am grateful they did.

I started teh freebee version to test drive it for awhile and I upgraded to the Professional memebrship a couple of months thereafter.

Mary, you need urgent help other than with IDX. trust me.  Visit your analyst, I am beg you.  I am seeing the same analyst Gregory is using.  We are making progress on the psychotherapist.

I'm a newbie to PT2 but it didn't take me long to upgrade.  There is so much good information it's impossible to keep up with it all.  How I found it?  The office Coordinator told me about it, how she found it, I do not know.  Today I sent an email off to a colleague (from another Realty)to join.

John, I am guessing you aren't the kind stranger I have been waiting for.

I guess if wimpering isn't going to work for Paris, I don't have half a chance either.

I already had a website that was doing very well and I don't recall exactly how I found P2 but it seems like I received an email offering me a free site. I signed up and didn't really do much with it except log in once in awhile to keep it active. My main reason for having it at the time was to show my agents that there was no reason not to have a website of their own when they could have one at no charge. Even then, most did not understand the power of having a site of their own and didn't want to be bothered with it. I didn't really start spending any time or add listings until October of 2006 in an effort to have a site that would show up in Yahoo since my other site was being penalized by them (an AA site). I now have a P2 site that shows up on page #1 in Yahoo and and is doing equally well in Google searches. Thank you P2 !

I found P2 late last year when I started to have problems with my webserver and was looking for a new place to host. I designed my past site by myself, but when I search for a new host P2 came up. WOW! Was impressed, it had everything I was looking to do, that I wasn't quit at yet on my own design.

My contract with Superlative was coming to a close, and rather than hunt them down and pummel them with Becky's bat, I decided to switch providers. THere was a lot of buzz about them on message boards, so I checked them and a LOT of others out before deciding.

The rest is history.

It has been so long that I don't even remember how I found out about P2.  Which brings up an interesting thought.  .... who was the very first person to sign up for a p2 website?  I think I've been a member since 2003 but not sure what month.  Before p2, I had my own website that I semi-designed with one of those free hosting places that I don't even remember the name of now.

I'm surprised I'm the first to say this, but I was introduced to Point 2 Agent by the wonderful e-PRO course (which I should have taken sooner than I did-it would have saved me a ton of money).

At the time I was working on a custom site and committed to it (but that's another story), so just completed the exercise and forgot about it until I became disenchanted with the so-called 'custom' site.

Once I started researching options, I remembered I'd started a free site, went back to play with it...and the rest is history.

My point 2 site is more 'custom' than my other one can hope to be.

A couple of years ago (3?), with very little money to put in to a website, I started hunting around.  I googled my little fingers off and found point2.

It was something that I could have without spending ANY money whatsoever AND as a newbie, it gave me listings immediately.  That was all I needed.  Went through all the growth spurts and down time with them as it was easy to see where they were headed.

Shortly after breaking out on my own (was a RE assistant for 9 years) I was conjoled to joining Housevalues.com.  After being with HV for a while it dawned on me that if I was going to succeed with any of the "Internet" buyers or sellers coming to me from this venue, I should have a web presence.  I went on the message boards at HV and asked what companies others on there were using.  I mentioned that I had very little money to spend.  A very nice agent from Canada came back to me with "how about free?"  He sent me an invite and I waited for the shoe to drop.  After all nothing is free.  No shoe dropped.  About an year later and a new partner, Marcia and I decided we needed more bells and whistles.  Marcia had her website with another company and comparing our stats, web placement, etc. and cost to upgrade hers to get the same goodies as my P2.  We decided that my P2 website was doing much better than hers and would cost less to upgrade.  We pooled our funds and went Professional, keeping my P2 website.  I didn't know about Relib until it came up in our P2 office.  Love both.

I also found Point2 through the e-PRO class. Like most people, I put very little effort into it because I was more focused on completing the course work. I already had what I felt was a great website because I had put 2 years worth of work into it and it showed well on the search engines. Then the website provider cut a couple of the programs associated with a "package" I had purchased which upset me because that was part of the reason I went with them.

As a result of my e-PRO designation, I was actively involved on RealTalk through Internet Crusade and Point2 kept popping up in the conversations about favorite websites so I logged back into my forgotten freebie site. I began to play around with the content from my other website by adding it to my Point2 site. Next thing I knew, I was hooked. I dumped the other provider and have never looked back!
